We have the new Dish Tailgater with two receivers. The Dish is connected through the UDC, one to the living room and one to the bedroom. No problem. I had read reviews that others were having problems and ended up having to run coax through the window. The only reasons would be that the coax...
Tom,
I've got this on our calendar, so I don't forget. There is a very good chance we will make it but I won't know until the summer shakes itself out.
Mike
Gregg, we are no longer in Colorado Springs. Sold the house, bought the 5th wheel and headed for warmer climates. We are going to try and make the rally in Albuquerque in May as we migrate north for the summer.
We are currently staying at Seven Oaks in Mission, TX. We will definitely make plans to attend this open house. Look forward to meeting Jim Beletti and the other HL crowd. navyAZ1 we are the LM365 in Lot 140.
This notification is a bit late in coming. We purchased a new 2016 Ashland this past October and became members of the Heartland family. We have been full-timers ever since. Needless to say we have been busy and enjoying life at the same time. Hence the late announcement. I thought by now we...
Jhuff8181 did you ever get resolution on fixing your windows. I have a 2016 Landmark Ashland and have similar problems with 2 windows. The plastic bushings have come out of the track and getting them back in the track is proving to be a real PITA. I would like a part number and replacement...
I finally had the chance to troubleshoot with a good multimeter and got 15+ volts at the batteries and the same going into the inverter. Tried power button and no power. Tried holding the power button for 10 seconds, as someone here recommened, and had light smoke coming from inverter...
Did some troubleshooting and verified there is power coming into the inverter but the inverter will not turn on. While traveling I consulted with the service guy at the dealer and he agreed with my troubleshooting and we agreed the inverter is bad. The Heartland rep called and we reconfirmed a...
I have checked the owner's manual for the inverter. The inverter is not getting any power. The status indicator on the inverter does not come on. The disconnect switch is on.
Picked up our new Ashland yesterday and spent our first night on the road. Got ready to get underway this morning an d after unhook in shore power the fridge is not coming on. Shouldn't the inverter take over and run the fridge off batteries? Hope this is a simple fix.
Thanks for the checklist. I found this one doing a Google search.
One reason we are going with the Landmark is Heartland's reputation for customer service and this forum.
We are headed out of state in a day or two to look at a new Ashland and hopefully take delivery. Can anyone provide a PDI Checklist? I have searched the site and have not found one. Are there any issues specific to the Ashland I should be aware of and take particular attention to inspect? I want...
We have looked at a couple of Ashland models and have noticed the bottom of the right refrigerator door rubs on the slide out fascia molding when opened. In fact the door will not fully open without rubbing and scaring the molding. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is the fridge not properly...
In preparation for a new 5th wheel I noticed some curious numbers on the Ashland vs the Key West, as found on the HL site.
Ashland
Length 41' 5", Width 8', Height 13' 3"
3 slides
429 sq. ft.
Key West
Length 41' 2", Width 8', Height 13' 3"
4 slides
388 sq. ft.
The Key West is 3" shorter has a...
Article references an Arlington floorplan. Did not see this floorplan on the HL site. We are getting real close to buying a new fifth wheel and are flip flopping between the Ashland and Key West. Maybe the Arlington has the features we like from both of these.
I appreciate the replies. We plan on going full time and traveling, primarily in the west and southwest. The advantage of going through a local dealer is this area will be somewhat central to our travels. Having said that, I am not opposed to traveling, to say Knoxville, for a good dealership as...
We are seriously considering a new LM365. I have read that RVs4Less is a quality dealer for the LM365 but they are over 1300 miles away. Can anyone recommend a quality dealer within a 3-5 hour drive from central Colorado? Seems as though the only local dealer is Camping World and I quickly...
That is a much better picture and looks like a nice option. However, SWMBO really likes the kitchen on the LM365 Ashland. There are also some other features on the LM365 we like.
We looked at one again today at a different dealer. Then we looked at a LM365 Ashland and everything changed. Apparently it's all about the kitchen. I'm just a chauffeur really.
TravelTiger,
Thank for posting the pictures. It looks more office than pantry. If that is the best they can do for a pantry we will pass and keep looking. What a shame, DW really likes the full bathroom on this model.
Danemayer,
I was hoping to see pictures of this option. There are none on the Heartland web site. A "walk-in pantry with desk and shelving" is ambiguous. Is it a pantry or an office? I'm hoping either someone who has had it done or the Bighorn GM will weigh-in with some insight.
My wife and I looked at a new 3875FB yesterday and liked what we saw. We especially like the idea of converting the 1/2 bath into a pantry. Has anyone had this done? If so, can you post pictures? Would the pantry be all cabinetry or would there be a countertop with electric? I have searched the...
Tom,
Everything we have seen in the 36' range has been lacking in storage and/or conveniences we are looking for. Based on what we have seen so far the 38' range seems to be the sweet spot, for our needs anyway. You are much more in tune with market demand. We will certainly keep the LM365 on...
Let me preface this by saying we are newbies. Our experienceis limited to living in a 30’ TT for 7 months, due to job relocation, whilelooking for a S&B. We enjoyed beingin the campground so much that once in the S&B we decided to go fulltime ina 5th wheel. We met some really great folks, while...
The DRV Mobile Suites models 38 RSB3 and 38 RSSA look interesting on paper. Hopefully we can view these and a new LM365 at the Denver RV show this week.
Mr. Montague,
I have tried repeatedly without success to post the floor plans. Not sure what the problem is. Both plans are less than 26KB and are .gif files.
One concern I have with the Newport and Ashland is the CCC. I would think that 900 to 1,160 lbs/person is a bit light for full-timers...
I would like to see the Cascade floorplan in the 38' range but with better pantry storage and a linen cabinet in the bathroom. We plan to go full time this year and feel a washer/dryer to be essential. Also, would there be an option to replace the fireplace with drawers or a cabinet for storage...
I’m coming late to the party but will way in none the less.We are planning on going full time in about 8-10 months and researching 5thwheels has put the Landmark on our short list. The fact that the GM takes an active role in his product line is encouraging.
Having said that, we both like the...
Thanks for the replies. It just so happens I was at Home Depot the other day when a guy was getting into a 14 RAM CC Long Bed dually with a B&W hitch. We had a long conversation. When it comes time to pull the trigger it will be on a dually. I will probably wait for the 2015s to hit the lots and...
My lovely wife and I have decided to move up from our TT to a 5er and go full time. This will require upgrading from a ½ ton truck to a 1 ton. We are undecided as to a SRW or DRW. We have not decided on a 5er yet, but do have it narrowed down to a few that we like so far. We intend to keep the...
