Need advise with respect to best tires for our Bighorn 2014' 3260EL

Odds are that you have rims that are rated for 80 psi if the rig has E rated tires on it now. If you stick with E rated tires on the Bighorn there is only one choice, Put Maxxis M8008 tires on the camper. Or you will need to switch to 110 psi wheels with g rated tires. Be aware that there are a...

    Road Warrior 427 Questions

Thanks for the info KaseyO, we went back and forth on these things with the dealer for a while. I love the floor plan of the 427 from the kitchen back. But we are considering other options now. The biggest deal breaker for me is the awnings, it seems more that the engineers are putting the...

    Road Warrior 427 Questions

So for the last couple of years we have been toying with the idea of a toy hauler. Last week we took a trip to look at a new Road Warrior 427 and we liked the floor plan. Now doing some research I have found that there are 2 " different models" of this new floor plan. Attached are 2 photos of...

Sewer smell when draining kitchen sink

Jim, you are right ypur rig does not have an air admitance valve under the kitchen sink. Supposedly, (depending on the rig's plumbing), if the roof vent is plumbed into kitchen sink drain line, you theoretically dont need an air admitance valve in the drain line. We also have had this problem...

Roof Repair: What would you do?

My answer, and I have been there, Is file it on the insurance and repair it, replacing the entire rubber membrame. The only thing that matters to me here is warranty. The roof membrane is warranted for what 25 years? any repairas or patches in the membrane void that warranty. If you have rotting...

    SOLVED: Satellite TV Hookup question?

Re: Satellite TV Hookup question? Let me try to explain this, as I said before you can not run the satelite throught the CABLE hookup as it is. You can unhook it from the amplifier and it will work if there are no splitters anywhere else in the camper. If there is a splitter somewhere in the...

    SOLVED: Satellite TV Hookup question?

Re: Satellite TV Hookup question? First thing, UDC means Universal docking Station. Where all your stuff hooks up to the camper To answer the rest of your questions, If the conection is labled "cable" it will not work for Satellite. Satellite feeds have to have a different typ splitter than...

    Pressure Relief valve leaking

Re: Pressure Releif valve leaking Unless it is leaking alot there probably is not a problem. it is doing what it is supposed to do. Alot of time the seeping is caused by high water pressure on the supply line. Rememeber that if you have high water pressure coming into the camper, heating the...

Slow air loss on Firestone Air Bags

Check all the valve stems in the system, If you dont have the onboard comporessor, you have one or two valves to fill your bags. If you do have the compressor you have a valve stem where the compressor connects to the fill lines and also where the release button is to let the air out of the system.

Roof vents and forward air conditioner

You can buy directional covers for the vent pipes that move with the direction of the wind, BUT, Your problem should not be the a/c pulling the odor into the camper. The a/c is a closed loop system, pulling air from inside the camper, cooling it, and returning it to the camper. If installed and...

    "Legal Towing"

There is alot of confusion and misinformation in this thread. Review the laws in the state that you are registered in and RECREATIONAL VEHICLE EXEMPTIONS. I have a Commercial Classs A CDL, With Hazmat , Tanker, and Double Endorsements. That has nothing to do with this thread. Recreational...

Yes now we are getting it figured out. You definatly have an incorrect part. I would go ahaead and take them off before you put a load on the truck. Hope they get you straight and send you the right kit. The bags should llok like they are extended alll the way out even with no air in them...

Let's talk about Air bags for my truck

I am amazed that 5 psi is raising the rear of your truck 1.5 inches. Must be a Ford thing. Just went out and played with mine to see, 5 psi made absolutely no difference, 10 psi changed my bed hieght about 1/4 inch

Let's talk about Air bags for my truck

10 psi on an empty truck will probably raise the truck a little. I wouldnt expect it to raise it 2 inches, But who knows. You only need 2.5 to 5 pounds in the bags when the truck has no load on it. I am guessing you are filling them manually with what you are describing. I am not sure where...

    Do I need air bags

Its not really a matter of needing them. The air bags will let you level your truck with the load. It will ride a lot better, handle better, and the suspension and drivelene of your tuck will work as designed with the proper angles.

    satellite connections

The coax in the unit are wired for Over air antena, and cable. They will not work with satelite because of the splitters used in them. Satellite - Wrapping My Head Around What I Need

    Tires on new Big Horn

This is just my opinion, If I was ordering I would definatly order the Goodyears. If I was buying off of a lot I would have the dealer upgrade the tires as part of the deal. If the dealer doesnt want to work with you find another dealer.
