During a recent search for an under coach water leak (Ice maker line was the culprit) I saw something that concerned me. Not knowing where the leak was going to be, I started with the fresh tank. After the visual, I filled the tank. Only then did I notice that while filling, the tank 'moves' a bit. It began pressing the inlet fitting hard against the side of the cutout in the frame. It was really stressing the fitting, and I predicted bad things while cruising with a loaded tank.
It was a simple fix to drain the tank, and move it back toward the road side, but I had to make sure it wouldn't move back. I cut a couple of pieces of aluminum angle, covered the surface to contact the tank with Nashua Flashing Tape (Home Depot), and bolted them up on either side of the tank.
Just thought I'd share.
Now to put that belly back up. Oy.
