ATF: Sundance - window caulking

I have a 2009 Sundance 3300sk trailer. I was told by a RV dealer that several of my windows needed to be pulled out for re-caulking. How long does the window caulking usually last. Also what type of caulking do you recommend for the windows.

I have never heard of pulling windows to re-caulk.
Just remove the old caulk from the windows, clean the area and then caulk.
All caulking should be inspected regularly.
Since your Sundance is a 2009 and the caulking has never been tended to, it's well over do.

Peace

There is a rubber gasket like material that seals the window upon install, but I have not heard of them needing replacement. Caulk should be on the top and down the sides. Remove old, then apply new. Try to check and redo every 6mo to a year. This is part if normal maintenance in the owners manual. Time consuming but easily a DIY project.

If you have not done it.....you need to get on the roof and check all the caulking at the front and rear caps and all the vents, vent pipes, etc.
