battery charging from engine

We are going to be traveling down the east coast soon, dry camping in the evenings each day for about a week. I was wondering how much the batteries will be charged from running 5 to 7 hours each day and if they will charge sufficiently to run most of the things we would be using in the evenings without getting out our honda 2000 to recharge them?

In my edxperience, 5 hours of driving should replentish the batteries to 100%

One thing that you will see is using the furnace fan will drain the battery pretty quickly.......you may want to consider dual batteries for winter dry camping.

I agree with both posters but will add two (or four) 6v batteries will give you pretty good staying power.

Thanks for the information. Once we make it down to Florida, we will have hook-ups or at least electrical hook-ups most of the rest of our trip south until we start back and then it will be the same daily runs back up the coast. Hope all have a great holiday season.
