Bedroom Slide Leak and question

Lot's of rain in Southeast Texas and looks to be this way for few days. And, of course our bedroom slide is leaking. Can we just pull it in until the weather clears where he can work on it? I had read somewhere that we weren't supposed to be on the slide if it was pulled in. This is a quick fix until the weather clears up but I don't want to mess anything else up in the process.

I am afraid it will mess up the mechanics of slide? I don't remember where I read it at but wanted to ask

With the slide in, as you drive down the road and hit a bump, there's got to be more force applied to the slide room than you getting in and out of the bed.

Do you have a bead of silicone like the one in my photo? It prevents water from Traveling into the slide.
