How we took our bikes with us from Texas to Indiana.



Freestanding, rear wheel support bike rack.



Once front wheel and seat removed, tilt to load.



Large pool noodle protects bike forks, keeps from moving.

We do pretty much the same thing. I love having the bikes out of sight and out of the weather. My wife's road bike goes in the main basement and mine goes in the front basement. We can get them in without removing the seats, just the front wheels. We're going to start bringing mountain bikes as well, so we have lots of flexibility, but they will have to ride in the truck bed.

We took these same bikes on the back of our 37' ElkRidge, without issue. However, this 42.5' Big Country, I don't trust them back there.

We have inside evidence that the rear bounces a lot, and other posting issues with long trailers and bike rack failures.
