We will be RVing in the Louisville, KY area this weekend (Thu-Mon). We're staying at the KOA South in Shepherdsville, KY. Anyone else in town?

So much to do, so little time.....

So Jim,

Are you hitting the Patton Museum at Ft Knox, checking out the Louisville Slugger Factory, going to Caesar's Indian Riverboat Casino, or just taking in the Jim Beam Distillery???:)

No plans at all yet Gus. Nancy will join me Friday evening so we have basically Saturday and some time on Sunday to take in whatever sights there are. Thanks for the list!

Jim,
I hope the weather holds out for you. Seems as though the colder, rainy weather is getting pretty close here in Xenia.

My brother-in-law and I will be leaving tomorrow for Elkhart. RV Capital Service Center will have our Augusta all fixed up and ready to pickup Saturday morning. I'm pretty excited, kinda like taking delivery all over again. I asked them to do something that I thought should have been done by the factory. I have asked them to add side Lambrequin to the window in the hallway going up the stairs by the bathroom. Brian thought he could do that and I am anxious to see how it turns out.

Have a great weekend,
Mark

Trucknutt and Gus,

Well, I never made it to anything on your list - this time :) I would love to come back here and explore more (State Parks, Civil War History stuff, Bourbon Trail, more Wineries and the stuff you guys mentioned). Thanks for the suggestions.

Been blogging about what we have done so I wont duplicate it here. I also winterized tonight before I took Nancy to the airport. She helped me. Went a lot easier that way. Now in the morning, just unhook AC power, hitch and head home.

Glad you got a weekend out before winterizing. Hate to hear you have to do that. Come on down to the balmy coastal bend! I know you got a few more years before you can FT with the rest of us so we will see you at a rally.

Thanks CJ. I really miss all my Heartland RV pals :(

This is the second time the RV has been winterized in a month. The plant had an item installed on the coach and while it was there I asked them to winterize it. A few weeks later, this surprise trip to KY. It was worth un, then re-winterizing it. Beautiful part of the country. Especially with all the tree colors still showing.

Jim I winterized mine a week ago, very sad day. It seems the older I get the more I hate to see winter come. I hope we can meet up again next year.

I hear ya on that Neil. 48 years of it. Had enough but will have to endure a couple more. Our retirement savings lost 32% of its value in the last 12 months. So retirement is a bit further out :(

I too hope we can meet up again next year. I think you need to put on the IL rally :)

Glad you had a great time (even with the winterizing part:(). We're still in Myrtle Beach. Temp have been in the upper 60's and 70's. We'll only be in the mid 60's today though. Heading back to Northern Virginia Wednesday, then we'll be winterizing.
