Rust spots in kitchen sink

We are getting rust spots in the kitchen sink of our 3-month-old Sundance. Obviously, the stainless steel is not of good quality. The factory recommends using a scotch brite pad to remove them. My issue is why should I have to repeatedly remove rust spots from an inferior product? If Heartland is truly customer-friendly, they should replace the sink with a better quality.

Stainless steel varies greatly in quality. The issue of the "rust spots" in the sinks has been discussed in prior posts. One issue was the use of chlorine or cleaners containing chlorine.

Our BC sinks showed some rust spots, as have every ss sink in every RV we have owned. My wife uses Bon Ami to clean the sinks and then when we are not using the trailer, I wipe them down with a light coat of mineral oil to keep them from "rusting". This system has worked for us. Good Luck.
