Slide out of level/balance

When opening our slide a couple of weeks ago something had fallen behind the slide - we got it out and went on with our stay. Now we go to put The slides in and the slide is popping 3 or 4 good pops and the slide is not coming in all the way on one side. We have obviously knocked it out of whack. Any ideas and does anyone think this is something we can fix ourselves. Thanks in advance

You may be able to fix it, but it depends on what happened.
I am assuming that the slide you speak of is hydraulic.
If you look under the slide you will see a hydraulic ram on one side and a rack and pinion gear set on the other.
It is possible that you jumped a gear or two on the rack.
There is a square tube that connects the hydraulic side with the mechanical side.
If the hydraulic side is the one that closes correctly, then you will need to disconnect that square tube and manually crank the mechanical side to match the hydraulic side. Then reinstall the tube.
Hope this helps some.

Peace
