Slide-out piston

I have a leak when the mega slide on my Cyclone 3800 is closed. I was looking under it and I noticed the hydraulic bar set screw (?) has a 2" gap. Is this normal?

Are you talking about the jam nuts on the end of the hydraulic ram shaft?
If you are, then yes there should be around two inches between nuts on the shaft.
Have you isolated your hydraulic leak? Do you see fluid?

Thanks Dave. I should be more clear, I have a water leak when the slide is closed. It also appears I'm incapable of uploading pictures. but yes, I'm referring to the distance between the nuts on the ram shaft.
