Curious repeat performance. As many of you may know Karen and I bought Eric and Dorothy's Sundance several years ago. Eric had mentioned a leak in the shower skylight that he'd fixed by replacing the skylight. Recently Karen noticed a stain running down the shower wall and evidence of pooling of a small amount of water around the drain. Today I removed the showerside of the skylight and to my surprise discovered cracks running from about the middle of the long edge up to the top middle of the skylight as well as smaller cracks at 45 degrees to 3 of the 4 corners. Since we're expecting 3-5 days of rain from an approaching weather system (10-12 inches) I decided quick action was needed. I clear caulked the cracks and then placed a measured sheet of clear plastic over the entire skylight secured by duct tape just in case the caulk wouldn't have time to cure with the approaching rain.
Curious, tho when I googled Heartland Shower Skylight leak I discovered Eric's original thread here. Although the cracks are in different places, and Eric clearly had replaced the skylight, I"m now wondering if there's a flaw in the design or material used in the skylight used by Heartland. From the thread it appears Eric replaced the original skylight with a replacement he received from Heartland.

I'm reluctant to replace with a Heartland spec skylight unless there has been a vendor change. Any recommendations on a stronger spec replacement source?
Thanks
