What did you do to your camper today?

Most often the campground cable is low quality reception at best.

But it is free . . . and local!

DIY; Water separator, fuel filter, Oil and filter change, got my "TV yoga" exercises in. Next week, will check all hitch hardware, and hopefully get to a DC socket install for my Engel fridge freezer.

I did nothing to the trailer today, but I did take Cathy's car to the car wash this evening, so I drove by the trailer repair place I am taking our trailer to this Thursday (only about three miles from our house and just down the street from one of the neighborhood car washes) to get it (trailer) estimated for new springs and possibly shocks installed, and wanted to scope out the parking lot so that I have no surprises when I pull in with the trailer in tow.

It is nice enough outside that Cathy is going to 'pretend camp' out in the trailer tonight!

Here is her car . . . and the camper (and our old 1996 Dodge Ram truck - which I miss immensely) at Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado last year:

That said . . . I do love my new 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD! :p

It is the biggest and baddest trailer pulling truck I've ever owned!

We decided to trade in our current rig on a new Big Country 3950FB (front bath, with half bath in the middle).

Wow- went from bad axles to new rig! Now that's a swap. We are meeting the Rainwaters for dinner in Tucson on either Tuesday or Wednesday. If you make it down here, we would love to have you join us.

We can probably swing that. They don't expect we'll take delivery of the new rig until the "end of the week". Keep us up to date on the schedule and we'll drive down for the day if we can. We still plan on stopping through probably this coming weekend for a couple days, as well.

Thought fondly of it today while I applied Nu-Finish to the truck at one of our stations. On duty yesterday, the truck got a needed bath. On nicer weather days, now that the snow piled in front of it has melted, I have moved some items out to it at the storage yard. Hoping to pull it north the beginning of May.

Sounds like you guys and Terry and June are going to have a great time!

Wish we could be there!

Let us know how the axle repair in Phoenix goes in the other topic thread about it!

John, check our blog and see what Malcolm did to the axle today to get our current trailer ready to move in the morning. :) I'll make sure he updates the other thread.

Tony turned on the tire monitor to check tires, removed tire covers and added air to all tires and hitch, replaced a low bat in one sensor, plus a little exterior cleaning in prep for our trip to the North Texas Rally coming up this week.

Nothing actually to the rig, but did order a new Dometic 320 today.

Duane, be sure to circle back and give us a review on the 320.

Will do, but right off the bat I can give the advantages.

Over the bowl that came with the Cyclone:
Taller, 18"
Elongated seat
Wood seat
Push down for water, push further for flush, more intuitive instead of the up for add or down for flush
Supposedly superior flushing action

And the number 1 (or 2 ) reason is that I will not have to rebuild the existing unit.

So no update on the actual install, but I thought I would pass on the link I used. This was the best price, free shipping, no tax. I ordered on the afternoon of the 18th and it was delivered on the 23rd. Reasonable enough for free shipping. This is a relatively simple upgrade for those that have the low height bowls or older ones that need service.

This seller, since the above link will not be valid very long.

X2! Maybe take some pics while you do the install for the next issue of Heartland Highlights!

Will do, but right now I have nothing to go on

I brought mine out of storage today, put the AC back on the roof and aired up the tires to 110 lbs.

You got it Duane, let the air out of the tires and put the fork lift on the pin and out the door we go.

Been out of the garage 24 hours already - time to give us 2015 wide track update!

This evening while getting the trailer ready to go to the trailer doctor, I took these photos that I promised a couple of weeks ago.

Do you have or can you take and post photos of your new Jack TV Antenna set up fully up and also retracted down on the roof?
Dave

Sorry it took so long . . . but here are the shots of the King Jack TV Antenna:

JackTVdown-IMG_3934.jpg JackTVup-IMG_3935.jpg JackTVup-IMG_3936.jpg

And even though the King Jack came with a signal amplifier, I hooked up the one that was already installed in the wall face plate (the little red button) and it works just fine.

Also, when the amplifier is on, there is a little red light on the bottom of the antenna that lights up (can only see it at night).
