So I am going to replace the tires on my trailer after I get the Axle Hangers sorted out. I would like to do a 17.5 setup but there is still the G Rated 16 option. If I had a Triple axle I am sure I would just stick with the 16" but being a tandom axle trailer that will weigh up to 15klbs I am thinking the 17.5 might be the best option.

Right now Discount Tire has a 16" G Rated Task Master Provider for $224. 235/85/16 rated at 4050lbs at 110psi, $1055 installed or $1250 with the Road Hazard.

On line I can get (4)ea 17.5 Tire/Wheel for $1200 shipped to the house, 235/75/17.5 6005lbs, Though I would have to change the studs to a 5/8's, buy lugs and clamp rings.

That same company has a G-Rated 16" for $155, Rated at 3750lbs at 110psi.

My thoughts?
Well the 17.5 inch wheels are steel. I would rather have a good looking aluminum wheel.
The 16 inch tires on that web site have no name. I would be very cautious on that. They may be no better than the Chinese tires that are currently thought of as no good.
Just my thoughts.

Peace
Dave

Never heard of them. I bet they are just another marginal Chinese tire with an American sounding name. You do get what you pay for with tires...Don

our 3010 might weight a tad over 16k on occasion ;) and we run the goodyear g614s. they are pricy, but we have not had a single issue with them in about 8k miles! sometimes its worth it to get the best!

I think 235-75-17.5 is too big of a tire, 215-75-17.5 are the same diameter as 235-85-16, just for starters I would keep running from either deal.
