    Poor braking discoveries

Never even realized there was this option. With $900 spent already and all new, it'll be awhile before I tackle this again. Thanks for your thoughts.

Have to purify my fresh water system How???? Scared of bleach

Thanks for your thoughts. Heartland built these with 1/2" flake board laying on two steel angle braces with a steel strip connecting to keep the angle steel from spreading. That way the bottoms of the tanks are flat and above the drain configuration. Simply using a stronger brace would solve...

Have to purify my fresh water system How???? Scared of bleach

Found my tanks are bowed because of collapsed frame supports. Black junk in water since you can't drain them completely. What's the best way to purify the whole thing?

    Water dripping underneath

Filled my tanks for a trip. Water started dripping from 2 screws that were protruding from insulation cover. Finally decided to cut cover so I could inspect. Made it a point to follow along a cross support so it'd be easier to seal with Gorilla tape afterwards. Flimsy cross supports that hold...

    Poor braking discoveries

Been complaining of poor braking since way back. 2012 35' Cyclone with about 11,000 miles. Finally decided to replace brake assemblies on one axle to see what would happen. Bought brake assemblies and drums from Redneck Trailers, Lincolnton, NC $488. That was a mess with wrong parts. Then...

Terrific customer service from Atwood Fan-Tastic fan problem.

Jerry at customer service - couldn't ask for better expertise, communicating, attitude. Problem was fan didn't run but lid opened. Did some volt checks and determined the speed sensor was bad. First thought was the button switch on roof but I'd already checked that. He stressed that simply...

Awesome customer service at Dexter axles

David Switalski at Dexter. I don't know how to upload the pdf he sent me with the part nos. and breakdown for my 7,000# axles but could copy to a needy soul. Also, lubricant and distributors list. I wanted to find hub seals BEFORE removing to inspect, rather than tear up a seal and not be able...

    Axle and brake identification?

How do I know what capacity axles I have? And what kind/brand of brakes? Thanks

3010 Cyclone brakes and fuel pump

Adjusted? Need to learn about that. Haven't removed the wheels to inspect yet. Wouldn't seem like enough miles to warrant wear and replacement. Still, I can remember how that emergency switch cable got tangled up in the fifth wheel couple times turning the brakes on but not enough to really work...

3010 Cyclone brakes and fuel pump

Brakes simply don't do much for stopping. Need ideas on how to improve them. Next, the fuel pump finally quit. Read a long time ago that the impeller could be fouled up by ethanol gas. About to leave on big trip and have to get this repaired or replaced. Need ideas. Thanks!!

2012 3010 HD tailgate cable brackets - need ideas.

Trying to set up cables/chains in a factory similar manner for tailgate. Surprising how hard it is to find brackets for the gate. Have been looping chains over locking bars and 2x4s across gate edge. Works but more inconvenient.

    Replacing 235 80R16 tires selection is 2 - if 235-85R16 then a bunch - explain please.

TireRack.com has an extensive inventory and research articles. The "80" only has a Goodyear Marathon and Power King Towmax. But listed under "85" you get a ton of Light Truck (LT) to choose from. Someone's Forum signature profile included "G614 tires" which I guess is 14 ply 16" Goodyears - that...

    Cabinet doors splitting.

FWIW - Add me to the list. RV Outlet repaired under warranty. Happens again, I'll have to. They were always great but 3.5 hours away. Definitely didn't buy an RV to spend my time as a carpenter, plumber, electrician, propane tech, antennae tech, HVAC tech, or water leak specialist. How do people...
