Feedback requested on new Landmark full body paint scheme

Too much for me. To me, it looks like a brand trying to be all flash and no substance. I like the more subtle, elegant look.

    30/50 amp service

If all works on your generator, I would try it with you 50 amp cord. Sounds like you adaptor is bad. The 30-50 amp adaptor ties both hot lead together in the 50 amp cord. Use a meter and check the 50 amp end of your adaptor when it is plugged into a 30 amp receptacle. You should have 110...

water regulators- connect at the faucet or at the camper?

I use an adjustable regulator on the spigot before any hoses. If the water pressure is below 50 psi with out the regulator, I don't use one. My regulator is set at 50 psi. The non adjustable regulators will drop your water pressure too much if the incoming pressure is low.

    Slide Seal Lubrication

I had heard that lubricating the seals will not let them flip when the slide goes in or comes out. You need resistance on the seal and slide for the seal to flip into its proper orientation to seal properly.

If you had a second chance at a do over (manual vs electric awning)?

Re: If you had a second chance at a do over? I would also stick with the manual. I like the adjustable, plus after I get it tied down, I don't have to worry about it if the wind comes up or it rains while I am gone. The electric sounds very inviting, but if your not there to push the button...

    Oklahoma Campground recommendations?

Don't know what part of OK you are in, but we visit Natural Falls State park just west of Siloam Springs. Very nice park with lots of hiking trails, bicycle path, 80' water fall, small lake for fishing, and close to a casino. A patch of heaven in the middle of nowhere. If you are in the Tulsa...

    side to side leveling

We use the Lynx leveling blocks that you can purchase at Walmart for $30 a set, cheaper than any RV dealer. They stack nicely for storage and take up less space than wood and weigh less. I carry a 6' 2 x 8 to stack them when we are on gravel, this keeps them from getting buggered up and allows...

Had the pillows jump off the couch and get behind the upright trim panels on the entertainment/kitchen slide. Ran the slides out and popped off the trim panel, OOOPS. Need to check the path on the slides before extending them too.

    ATF: Bighorn - slide adjustment

Re: ATF: Bighorn - slide adjustmen The rollers raise the slide up as it is brought in. You shouldn't have any problem with the aluminum dragging on the floor. I have installed the aluminum on or rig and don't have any issues with it.

    Mushrooms anybody?

Humidity control is really the only answer for condensation. If you have a side by side, the left side is the freezer side, which would be colder. Eventually the seal will get colder enough to cause condensation when the inside temps of your closed up rig heat up. Try running your A/C at 80*...

    Condensation on ceiling?

Sounds like the vent opening is not sealed to the duct work. You might try and seal it with some foil tape to keep the cold air from going into the attic and creating a cold spot for condensation form.

    Found the wheel bearings loose!

An 1/8" movement on the outer edge of the tire is more than acceptable on your wheel bearings. If you did not have a little play, you will seize a bearing from being to tight when the assembly heats up and expands. When setting your bearings after dis assembly, tighten the nut to 15 ft-lbs while...

    Mushrooms anybody?

I have a fridge in my work trailer, it is a 110 apartment size unit. It will condensate water and drip on the floor, that was the reason for my question. In this heat and humidity, I always seem to have a puddle in the floor. And no, my work trailer does not have A/C. Wish it did tho.

    Mushrooms anybody?

Did you leave the A/C on?? If not, it could be condensation on the exterior of the fridge collecting and dripping on the floor.

    ATF: Cyclone - Brake Failure

Two things; If the shoes and drums were full of grease, the shoes should be replaced. You can not clean them enough to get the grease out that has soaked into the braking material. Also, trailer brakes, like automobile brakes, do require a break in period with several adjustments along the...

Owner/Operator service for the Dometic external unit

There is nothing that is serviceable by the consumer other than the filter. You can remove the cover to clean out any wasp nest that may grow on the fan blade or evaporator. You will know if you have a nest if it vibrates when running.

Anyone use the BatteryMINDer to keep your batterys charged?

A battery tender does not have enough out put to keep up with some of the continuous loads, LP gas leak detector, carbon monoxide/smoke detector, keep alive circuits on your radio, refrigerator, fans, etc... Your best bet is to leave it plugged in or disconnect the batteries.

    refer # RM3962 question

Running on gas will create more heat on the system, which makes it circulate better/more. These units are no where close to what we have in our homes. Food need to be cold before placing in the refrigerator, high humidity and temps, frequent opening and closing, iced up or frosted up fins...

    Delaminating under slide

There are kits out there that you can use that will restore dry rotted wood. If it is not a bag gaping hole, you inject a resin into it and let it cure. It becomes a solid water proof block. Have used it in many boats with rotten transoms and stringers under the motor mounts. It is...

Re: ATF: Big Country - 2nd A/C unit We run a small fan at the top of the stairs to the bedroom blowing into the main area. It helps tremendously. The front unit cycles and the bedroom is very cool. The fan helps circulate the cool air out into the main living area. The main A/C cycles in...
