I have a friend who did the same on a slightly larger fiver and I've never heard of any issues. I think im light enough that i could get away with it. There's currently around $9k worth of discounts including my x-plan available on the 16's so that's definitely the route i wanna go as long as my...
Axles are already on bottom, have been ever since new. I am hoping some short blocks and longer u bolts will be ok, just looking for some experience/opinions.
Doesnt matter anymore because my 09 is gone. Im just trying to see if i end up with a 2017 super duty what available options their are for lifting the sundance.
I too remember reading something about a tad bit higher projected economy but I believe it was related to a revamp to the 6 speed tranny. Maybe some taller ratios or something like that i think it said. That's actually something else that worries me alittle. Im just thinking that theres starting...
Its actually kind of an optical illusion i think because when i installed my timbrens in that truck i measured before and after and according to a two foot level inside on kitchen floor it was almost level before. Thats why im worried about the new superduty and being able to tow my fiver level...
So i just sold my current TV because i wanted to upgrade to a crew cab and was all set to buy a used 16 F-350. Unfortunately about a week ago theysold the truck and I hadn't mine yet so i am in the market to find 16 "leftover" superduty or the dealer said he could order me exactly what i want...
That pic was taken the day we brought it home and although it looks unlevel it is actually only high by about 2" according to a two foot level place on the floor just inside the door. My tires are actually wearing completely even there just tow maxers so i want them replaced before next years...
I've looked into switching to the E rated tires and i to cant find a single one in any size that would work for my 15" sundance. I'm just planning on getting the mxxis next spring when my fiver comes out of storage.
Matter of fact i do grease my tre's and ball joints, but have never and will never grease my ball hitches.. If someone wants to and have grease all over their clothes, truckbed, toolboxes, and pretty much anywhere else that it touches thats their business.
The way i see it is if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside go ahead and grease it. I have pulled bumper pulls for years, thousands of miles and have never greased one and never will.
Agreed.. Greasing the ball is only going to provide very negligible wear resistance and really all its going to to is get all over everything when you're not hitched up. I tow ball hitch trailers all the time, have for years and have never once noticed any undue wear that greasing would have saved.
I thought i saw a bighorn. Any one else ever notice when they are doing an in vehicle interview that they might be driving a Ford then pan outside and it shows them driving a dodge or vice versa, lol..
My 09 has the 5.4l in it now so I'm guessing the 6.2 will be a vast improvement over the 5.4l. I've got no problems now, just let the rpms spin.. The only thing thats holding me up is because my dealer will be running the lease through a "3rd party" ie his other company he's giving me a way...
Thats typically the case but my local dealer runs his own leasing company and they'll lease any vehicle they have. I've known him for years and he's willing to give me a great lease because he knows how well i keep my vehicles.
Im currently looking at leasing a new 16 leftover F350 from a local dealership and am looking for people's experience's towing there trailers/ fivers with the gas engine. My current fiver is a sundance XLT weighing in fully loaded at 9145lbs so I'm not spending 8k for a diesel to pull my camper...
While at home i have no choice but to park my fiver under pine trees as thats all that surrounds my house.. So far it hasn't done anything. I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks for that info snoking, I didn't think the factory kit could be added after the fact.. i think I'm going with a standard reese custom install kit as its under $300 shipped to me. Not having rails in the bed is of no real significance to me. First I've got to make the deal ans see if there...
Correct the OEM system can't be added after the fact, the only other way to get the puck system is to buy the aftermarket reese underbed mount system which is essentially the same, but alot more $... I just dont think its worth the added expense the more i think about, yes it would be nice not...
Hitch height might be an issue. I didn't think the adapter would take up quite that much room, i figured about the same as the traditional rails would. My current hitch is almost on the lowest setting and as the truck I'm looking at is going to be a F350 i assume I'm gonna have to drop it one...
I think about the biggest pro to the puck system is the space it free's up in your bed. The having the railsin the bed have never really been an issue in the past. I think for the significant price differance unless the dealer is willing to install the oem puck system I'll just install the reese...
Thinking about upgrading my TV as my local Ford dealer has some pretty good deals on there '16 leftover superdutys.. One in particular has really caught my eye and has everything i want except the ford factory fifth wheel pucks.. You guys out there that have the oem system or the reese underbed...
I bought the same kit and honestly i think ive used it two times.. Its a cinch to use but the problem i ran into was upon packing up and leaving. On my sundance fiver the duals are too close together and when pulling off the ramps the front has a tendency to get stuck in between and requires...
Re: Bighorn. NAME
I for one am thrilled that this new model is coming out. I am probably the demographic that heartland is thinking of when they threw the idea of the traveler around. I will be in the market to upgrade in a few years and cannot spend 75-90k on a trailer that isn't used for full...
More than likely they are stuck from never being turned as they should move without much effort.. I would take some pliers or an adjustable wrench and try giving them a turn.. If the trailer spent its life above freezing temps they were likely never used..
Still in galeton, right up by the little league field... One of these days we'll get together at splash in july. We go with Yilek alot.. Haven't been to much this year, missy's pregnant and is on modified bedrest for the time being. Hopefully we'll make up for it next year.. You'll have fun...
Congratulations, thats were we bought ours at, great sales dept. All the small things I've had i fixed myself but the AC went out a few months after purchasing andDealing with the service dept on that bigger issue didnt impress me. You dont happen to live in Tioga Co. Do you? I know someone...
Ok, then the SAT jack in the UDC goes directly to LR tv. The cable from the antenna goes to booster, then into a splitter and then to bedroom tv and LR tv? Why is there only one jack at LR tv?
