Only about 2500 miles on the trailer, well except for the transporter. Had an independent utility trailer repair service adjust and check them out. I "burnished" them in and they got no better. He said it took about 40 clicks to tighten them up but it took 10 clicks to loosing them so they...
Yes on our "06" 3055 all three vents came out the bottom of the trailer. I put shut offs on all of them. Fill the tank when they are open and as you see one start of run water close it and wait for the next and so on. Insures you get a full tank and water will not siphon out as you go down the...
4 door refer. Ice maker works great. But, its a pain to winterize. When we are boon docking we dont like to use the fresh water tank for ice and drinking. When in AZ for 3 months we get a free bag of ice with 30 pack. Havent hooked up the ice maker since the first winterize.
Had this trailer 14 months and its the first trip back to the dealer. The Lippert brakes are next to nothing. I bet it would take a 100 yards to stop it from 25 mph with O poop lever. The old trailers brakes wernt much good but they sure were alot better than this one. Not sure what they are...
Didn't get the plastic covers for my toilet seat screws, didn't realize they were even suppose to be there until I saw 'em in the parts book. Dometic dealers wanted $20+ shipping, emailed Dometic said that it would be $20+ $15 shipping! Biggest rip off of the century!! E-mailed Heartland...
The factory can put GY's on. Its on the "hidden option" list. Mine were an extra $500. However they forgot to put them on and the dealer had an independent do it. They scratched my wheels. I couldnt even tell it. Independent dealer said they would put new wheels on or credit us $500. No brainer...
Dan, I did the break-in deal with this trailer and the older trailer. Brakes worked better on the older trailer but they just wont work on the new one.
Isnt the Lippert warranty 2 years on these trailers? Ours is about 14 months old. Had the brakes adjusted up and checked by an independent and were told the drums were out of round but they were on our "06" Bighorn also and they finally started working some what. This unit just wont stop hardly...
Went through the same deal myself. Like above the neutral ground wires were off at both the switch and at the connections down by the heater. The guy doing the Water heater wiring that day must of had a real bad day.
I had the same problem on our "06" Bighorn. I fixed vents, sagging and not being able to fully empty the tanks. Here is a link to what I did. Water tank 101
E-mailed Heartland Customer service just to ask if they had outlet where I could order them that didn't have that ridiculous price tag. Matt Cameron the parts manager said they would send some out after the holiday at NO charge. I really didn't expect them for nothing because I didn't realize...
I e-mailed Dometic and this is their reply. Take in consideration that these are only 2 snap on pieces of plastic that cant weight over 2 oz. each and you can buy the complete toilet seat for just over $40. I realize that our unit was about 1 month out of warranty before I figured out they were...
Dont know why I just notice that the plastic covers that go over the toilet seat screws are missing on ours. Never had them. Looked in all the packages and none there. We did get the wrong bag of manuals when we brought the trailer home last year. There only about the size of a quarter and snap...
Our early "11" has brass fittings on most of the high pressure lines behind the docking station. If I recall the only ones that are not brass are the elbows that go to the W/D. Plan on disconnecting them anyway so I dont have to winterize them.
I bought some filter material that you can cut down at ACE. As far as restriction I think if you could blow a 100 mph wind through it it would only come out 99.9 mph. As far a filtering it is poor at best.
Take a drawer or two out of the cabinet on the left side of the sink. You will notice that the "workings" of the trailer is can be seen just to the left of the opening. You also can feel air coming in. I did my best to cover that opening with some plastic sheeting and tape. Stopped the slight...
Yeah the rascals took the towel bar off the door. I narrowed up a plastic hook and place it over the top of the door and it actually works out better. Towels dry a lot faster and are easier to hang up.
on edit: I did put another towel bar under the cabinet above the john that works out pretty...
Anyone with the new Dexter brakes able to lock them up on gravel? Like I said my ID said that they were the top of the line. I have never been able to lock up my Lippert brakes in any situation. But then again I really cant figure out how sliding trailer tires on gravel is going to stop it. I...
I just got ours back from an independent trailer dealer that installed my wet bolt kit. I asked him to check the brakes and axle clamps. Mine is the last of the Lipperts. It took over 40 clicks to tighten the brakes up and 10 clicks to back 'em off to where the wont drag too much. Said they were...
Just did a search because I ordered wet bolts from Trail Air and they asked if I had Dexter or Lippert axles. Tag on axles show I have Lippert axles on our "11" 3610RE. All "11"'s dont have Dexter axles so you had better check before you order a wet bolt kit.
I dont think its the cost of the outlet as it is the amount of time to hook up a quality outlet. I bet they can wire 3 trailers with the "push in" outlets in the amount of time it would take to wire one trailer with the "screw in" outlets.
I agree with Reboots BS theory. Never could figure out how you can over fill any tank. When it gets to the top its "full". When you try put more in a container than what it was designed for it comes out the top but remains "full" and is not "over filled"
I was lucky, the dealer didn't even plug my ice maker in. Good thing because the water line wasn't hooked up. That really didn't matter cause they didn't even turn the water valve on. Got to figure every thing out on my own.
I have been servicing ATV's/motorcycles in my part time business for many, many years. I refuse to use K&N filters. Any machine that has one on a comes for service I will not clean it but offer a new OEM paper element. I have see too many machines with dust in the intake from using K&N's. Its...
Ah! Another reason why I am glad we got the early version. Ours has never come open and is handier than a pocket on a shirt. We dont fill it up with heavy can goods and such, just lighter items.
