Plans and devices are always changing. Here’s a great source for education and answers. You don’t have to join to read, but their membership does get you some more specific help and first to hear of new technology/information. I am not affiliated with this website. Just a really good source of...
I’ve been researching as well, ours are dated 2015. Going back with Sailuns just haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but will be before our next big trip in December.

Thanks all, I couldn’t find that list from Lippert.
We have a trip or two where we’re operating below freezing, but most of the time above. So I’ll probably go with replacing it all with one from list 1.

We have a leaking stabilizer leg that will be replaced soon. Since I know it’s been leaking, should I pull all hydraulics in and see if I need to add fluid, or, do I need to replace all the fluid with new? In either scenario, anyone have a recommended ATF? Note, we’ve already added the...
Post a pic, maybe someone can give you pointers even if they don’t have the same floorplan. Often Heartland used similar install techniques across multiple brands.

On our NorthTrail waaaayyyy back in 2008, it was located behind a panel under the fridge. It took removing some screws to get behind this panel.

I use a few Blink cameras to keep tabs on our cat and they also monitor the temp. You can set alerts to notify you when the temp gets too high.
I also use Simplisafe, (monitored) which will alert me if the power goes out, and does also have a “freeze sensor” which keeps tabs on the temp and...
Here’s a video I saw on Facebook, but this is when the eyewall of Laura hit Lake Charles.

Wow! Can’t wait to see what you come up with. I know there are some tiny sinks out there, I’ve watched a lot of tiny home builders’ shows and they always find a way to make some tiny bathroom accommodations.

Well, our plans have changed, we thought Tony would not have the band at the football game, but now they found a way. So instead of arriving with the Big Country on Friday, we are driving in on Saturday morning and staying at the Park's Rental Trailer, a HEARTLAND Pioneer, in 116. ;)
Wow. Looked at the 3D tour. I thought the video was done in “greyscale”, not color, it’s so monotone. There’s no color whatsoever, anywhere!

You’ll be much happier with a Fantastic Fan!
But just in case someone is looking, our old Ventline fan motor went out within our 1 year warranty. Bought one online, but then made a claim with Heartland and they sent me a fan motor.

Eeek! Oh the joy of country living!! A mouse moved in our place as well when we got that cold snap a few weeks ago. Discovered paper towels in basement were shredded.
Caught a large one on a sticky trap, have 4 others set up and some other traps as well but nothing yet. Seems like once a year...
I guess we kinda have gone all electric too. Induction cooktop and convection micro. Always run water heater and fridge on electric, tho it switches to propane when we travel. So very minimal usage there.
Cheap heat even worked great in Angel Fire last winter when temps were below zero, until...
You are correct, we are fulltiming and pay electric. For us the additional monthly cost was similar to running one AC unit in the summer. The biggest benefit was never having to worry you’d run low or ultimately out of propane — no more hauling heavy bottles!

You could try looking at the options: https://www.rvcomfortsystems.com. I think he has other units for other situations that don’t use the existing furnace.

The CheapHeat system uses your existing furnace blower fan, so if the fan wakes you up, it will still do that.
CheapHeat is the only manufacturer of this product. You used to be able to buy the system on Amazon. Larry, the creator of this product, is very accessible and knowledgeable to assist...
You’re not required to use your dealer for warranty work. You could contact Heartland to locate a repair facility that does warranty work that doesn’t have to be a dealer. Sadly, many dealers’ main focus is to sell RVs, not repair them, and now that you’ve bought you’re not a priority anymore. A...
We made sliding panels in our previous ElkRidge. Loved it! Our Big Country has too many angles to do that now. Still planning to do a mod sometime.

Carl I can second the insulating aspect. Although it did not make a s dramatic impact on lowering temp inside for our 100+ degree days, I think it helps keep the rig more constant and the AC units don’t have to work as hard to maintain the temperature. They actually cycle instead of constantly...
On my roof, I asked them to install a traditional crank-up antenna, when they really wanted to install a King Jack antenna (included in price).
They told me they cannot warrant a leak originating at the rubber “boot” where the cable enters the base of the antenna, which could eventually break...
There is very little maintenance at all. The things you currently have to inspect with a traditional roof are no longer factors. No dicor sealant, anywhere. No caulked edges where the roof meets the gutter. Front and back cap transitions are covered.
And there’s practically no chance a tree...
Actually, they don’t apply to the wood (or metal, for that matter) directly, they coat with some kind of primer before applying. The product is two chemicals combined as it’s sprayed. It was described to me as “spraying hot molasses.”

Jim they do leave the original roof in place if it is secure and undamaged. They cut it around all of the penetrations (ladder mounts, vents, ac openings, corners, front and rear cap, over the radius curves, etc. to make sure the underlayment and transitions are in good shape at those places...
Re: Leaking ?
That will look great! Post more pics when you get it back. I can tell you how much I love this roof, an not having to worry about it!
We had about 4.5” of rain in about a day and a half last week, and another 5-6” over 3 days this week. Lots of flooded streams and low-lying...
Yes some pics would help. Are you the original owner? Any chance of water intrusion anywhere that could have migrated to that location?
How long have you had the rig?
You might try contacting Heartland and sending them the pics with your explanation. It “could” be a defect in the wall...
Leaking ?
Yes this is the same product we had done. The company originated in Florida, there are licensed installers across the country. In our case, Mark Lamb at the Dallas Metroplex location was a customer first, and then became an installer — he was that impressed by the product.
Looks...
