Dumping ever 3 weeks?? How many people living there?
2 of us in ours when we’re out for the winter and I dump every 7-8 days.
If the waste is thick like you say, yeah not enough water! No 1s don’t take much obviously but when we do a No 2, it’s fill the bowl before you flush
Found this other picture from when I replaced the BR carpet last summer. A few more screws and that OSB wouldn’t have been there opening up that whole area containing the cables and motor
I’ve not completed that repair but I’m pretty sure you need not remove the bed frame and platform. Mattress, Yes, and likely the floor of the frame. Attached is a photo I took of an access panel to the electric motor for the BR slide. I would think the new cable (s) can be fished to under the...
They certainly fail according to King and mine did. New antenna solved the problem
I found a troubleshooting manual with a flow chart on line. (I’ll put the link in the next post). Using that & confirming with King support I replaced the original with today’s version
Progress…after discovery of a troubleshooting flow chart and a chat with King support I’m quite sure the antenna head has crapped out
I’ll confirm my results with King later this morning and likely be ordering a replacement
Ok. FWIW, I have bypassed all internal cabling. I have a direct connection from the front of the booster plate to the bedroom TV. Also have a jumper from the antenna port on the back of the booster directly to the antenna connection
This is not the old crank up style antenna. There are no...
SOLVED…details in Post #13
Do these stubby king jack antennas fail? Has anyone ever replaced one because of failure?
Lost our OTA tv on the way home from TX. In TX reception was everything from spotty to very good but I blamed that on distance and weather. Didn’t bother researching much...
LOL!! We still have a sticks and bricks. That’s our household DW.
We don’t need a dishwasher in the Bighorn
I wash & rinse our AC filters in the kitchen sink of the BH and hang them out to dry
We cross into Mexico from Progreso TX. While we don’t specifically shop for our couple of maintenance drugs, our US prescription plans are cheaper, we do purchase a few pharmaceuticals that in the states require a script whereas in MX they are over the counter products (amoxicillin, Z-pack, etc)...
We have a set of Hartland tires. 4 yrs old. ~30K miles. Still look like new. All steel belts. Have worn evenly whereas the OEM Sailuns at 3 years & 30K miles were in bad shape. Be looking at another set sometime next year
We still have our ‘12 F350 SRW towing our Bighorn with a GVW of 15.5K. IMO it’s at its top limit. Anything heavier than 16K ought to be behind a dually
The roof in our ‘17 Bighorn and older units is insulated with extruded styrofoam. Built in July of 2016 we still get some beads in the lights after days of travel
It is what it is!
If the cable is no longer attached to the “barrel” on the end of the blade valve shaft, the cable can be pulled clear of the flexible protective sheath.
If the handle is stiff to pull or push back in and nothing drains, I likely think the bottom of the tank is full of solids.
A macerator only...
This came with our 2017 Bighorn.
Only one connection in the UDC is for cable TV any others are for a satellite dish
There are multiple splitters and coax connectors throughout so either one or more is loose or a splitter is no good.
We have experienced both of those scenarios
Good luck
Similarly, I can back flush our black tank using grey tank water. I ensure the grey tanks are nearly full when it’s time to dump the black tank. I close the external add on valterra valve and open both grey tank valves. The grey water rushes into the black tank. Close the grey tank valves and...
Our current neighbor just experienced same. Suspects that the nylon gear has stripped some teeth. He’s researching as well. Expecting to buy a new motor.
Good luck
That high voltage seems iffy?? Our surge guard drops power if either leg experiences 130 V.
Had a similar experience you are describing several years ago at an overnight stop. After Park maintenance checked pedestal I was moved to another site
We had a 2014 Bighorn. Failed fireplace. Not the same “trim” as in your picture but to access & remove the fireplace I had to remove the faux brick trim panel to access the fireplace anchors
The trim around ours was held in place by numerous thin wire staples
If you have a hair dryer, from under the sink, direct the heat down into the belly through the scution . See photo…
If you’re comfortable doing so, remove the cabinet floor. It’s only 1/8” luan sheeting held in place by a few small wire staples. That will expose more of an opening and plumbing.
