    New owner with question

Never leave the black tank open. The dreaded poo pyramid is something you never want to experience. Use lots of water with each flush and clean the tank as well as you can. We also put Dawn dish detergent and water softener in the gray and black tanks about every third dump before heading out...

    leveling issues

We've had a similar problem since November - our jacks would begin to descend, stop, and the controller not continue. We've learned to coax it by turning the controller off, count to 5, turn it back on and hit auto level again. Then it works for us. Raising the jacks has been a greater issue...

We have a short bed and are glad we chose it. Looked at many, but this one with its ability to adjust itself when needed, fit the bill. Definitely worth the money!

Towmax tires stink. Go with G rated tires, Goodyear are what we bought.

    New Class of Migrant Worker

We saw the segment and thought they did a good job of explaining the workcamper lifestyle. We didn't feel that the interviewer was condescending. In fact, he sounded a little envious to us.

What are your favorite 'fun to have' RV accessories?

Wine rack and real wine glasses, but Martha considers that a necessity. Beer cooler for me, comfortable chairs, good portable grill, satellite dish.

I get by with a little help from my friends

Same thing happened to us on one of our boats. A good friend told us baking soda and coffee grounds (not used) mixed in an open container after everything was washed down with bleach water and then baking soda. Shut the fridge for a couple of days. Check and replace if door not gone. It worked.

Hurricane Matthew getting ready to hit florida

Good call! We rode it out in our s&b and it was concerning at times. Springmaid Pier was destroyed as was a pier in Surfside. Beaches suffered a lot of erosion. We haven't been able to get to the storage facility where our BH resides when not traveling. Hope to get there tomorrow. Safe travels

Are You Happy With Your BigHorn & Heartland?

We've been very pleased with ours and our dealings with Heartland have been great. Warranty issues seem to track back to dealer involvement. Some dealers are great after the sale - others forget your name when you walk out the door. But Heartland will authorize independent RV services to...

Am I the only new owner who's trailer seems like a lot of corners were cut?

As a matter of fact, our stick and brick had a bunch of issues after purchase (brand new built for us) that took the better part of a year to discover including plumbing connections, appliances, and flooring. We had significantly less issues with our BH. Not defending the builder of our house...

    Florida season coming up

We managed to get into a private campground in Ft Meyers 3 years ago for a week in January by leaving our name with about 5 campgrounds. Someone had to push back their arrival date and we got lucky. We had started looking around this time of the year.

Huh?? We ordered the Yeti package which had heated tank pads and extra insulation. Dual pane windows were an upgraded option as were several other items we ordered. Dual pane windows may be standard on some Heartland models.
