I had a couple small issues with my Sundance and the dealer repaired them. Since then. I have no issues. Heartland was easy to work with. Sorry for your problems but I think the Sundance is well made for the price point. My 3400QB has been enjoyable. I didn't have any water leaks but had a small...
I flush both black tanks at the end of each trip at full hook up campgrounds. Not sure if it is necessary but I don't like leaving areas for odors to occur. It's just the way I prefer to do it. The FR products also have the winterization valves in the UDC as well so it would make that easier...
I know this is how heartland is doing this currently. Those of us with bunkhouses have the rear black tank flush. My point with all of this is that I have noticed in new FR products with rear bunks. The 2nd black tank flush is in the front with the UDC. So you only have to do the flush from one...
I have a Sundance with 2 black tanks. The black flush for the front is in the UDC. The rear black is on the door side. Forest river is putting both black flush in the UDC. Makes the job a lot easier.
I have noticed in looking at other brands both blank tank flush inlets are in the docking station. This is especially useful in a bunk house model with two black tanks. Having all the water connections in one area is very useful. There are also larger holding tanks in some new models of other...
Wear problems to me are anything that occurs to the tire while in use whether it be road hazard, tire separation, under inflation, overloading and thread wear.

Probably say that all TowMax tires built in 2012 are built to better specs and won't have problems. Curious to see what they say as well. So far traveling about 2k miles on mine, I haven't noticed any wear problems

I grew up in Arkansas and love that part of the state. It truly is the natural state. I have fished on that river as a kid. Planning on taking the family back to camp there now that I have found camping again. Glad you enjoyed your visit!!

Question for those that have installed air bags. My Ram 2500 sits level with the Sundance 3400qb while hitched up. I have noticed that it bounces some while towing. Do the air bags help with the bounce or just level the truck. Was also wondering if better Bilstein shocks is a better ride. Thanks...
I talked to the sundance factory rep last week. They had a meeting with Tredit and mentioned that the plant in China had been retooled because of quality issues. He mentioned that powerking tires with date codes during 2012 have the upgraded tires. It seems at least Heartland is taking some time...
Not sure when it was introduced but I was told by the dealer and the Sundance rep all 2013's had it. I just didn't know enough about it the time I purchased to know if it was there or not. As I have learned more, I start figuring this stuff out. Thanks for your help.

Has anyone with 2013 Sundance fifth noticed if they have the correct track alignment system installed. I called Heartland today because I was told it was included. It's not on mine. Needless to say, the customer service person I talked to seemed clueless about what I was talking about. He told...
Was able to check today, there is a breaker for the 2nd ac. I assume then the wires are ran to the bedroom vent. Thanks for the help.

I weighed my rig a few weeks ago and the trailer came in at 10,250 lbs. With load capacity of the Powerking, I am we'll under the 6k axle rating and tire load when keeping them at 80 psi. I have the TST on them and monitor them constantly. I also double check with a pressure gauge. So far, the...
I believe my SD3400QB has the 2nd ac prep. But I am curious how to know for sure? I would like to add at some point a 2nd unit in the bedroom with a heat pump. I know the camper is 50 amp. I assumed the wires would already be ran to the vent in the bedroom where the 2nd unit would be installed...
I have the same truck as you and use a pullrite superglide. There is an adjustment on mine to tighten it up for the slide rails. I haven't noticed mine doing what you mentioned. My camper is a little lighter than yours on my hitch is 18 k.

I noticed on SD that it will pulse but I also figured out that the valve on the winterization was open. It was pulling in air as well as water. Once shutting the valve, it fixed this problem. Not sure yours is set up like this but may want to take a look at that valve.

I try keep WD 40 on all my moving parts to keep the mechanism working properly. I keep reading the manual making sure I am following Pullrite's guidelines. So far, the adaptor plate falling off is the only problem I have. When not towing, mine stays in the truck under a bed cover. It helps keep...
We have the SD 3400QB and so far we love it. Have had it out for a couple trips so far and had a couple minor issues that dealer has fixed. I would highly recommend Heartland. The floor plan had the rear bunk area that we wanted that best fit for our family. I can't say enough about the...
I have the universal adaptor plate with the shims on the sides set screws. It has the single set screw at the kingpin. I had the 1/4 bolt taken out and redrilled with a larger bolt. The 1/4" bolt bent after falling off. Since putting larger bolt I have not had that problem.

Because of this thread, while picking up my Sundance for minor repairs, the dealer took my adaptor plate off. It was the first thing I looked for before I hitched up. My plate was on the shop floor. They reinstalled it and off I went. I hate others bad experiences but this thread probably saved...
Kitchen sink is grey 2. Back bathroom is black 2. That also includes the sink in the rear bath. The outside kitchen is grey 2. Grey 1 is front shower and bathroom sink. Black 1 is front toilet. Hope this helps. Took ours out for the maiden voyage.

I checked with Sundance on this same question. The 2 black tanks are 40 gallon and the 2 grey are 40 gallons. The fresh water tank is 53 gallons.

By the way, Thanks for the helpful information. Flused the thing out enough to fill a swimming pool. However, still has the leak. Guess a trip to the dealer is order but I will take everyone's advice and get the extra valve.

I understand the whole TP thing but this camper was bought new and the toilet system has never been used. I was getting it ready for our very FIRST trip and had just dewinterized it when I noticed this valve not closing all the way.
Getting the camper ready for our first trip. Noticed that the Blank Tank valve leaks. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this? I don't have time to run to the dealer for this repair. I put the cap on the drain and then later take it off. Water pours out of the cap. Hooked up the black...
Not sure if this is the correct place to post a thread but wanted to convey my experience with my new Sundance 3400QB. I was getting things ready for our first trip. Getting all the anti-freeze out and decided to open the rear waste water tank. I couldn't believe my eyes!!. Out came a flat...
I agree. Generally you can only expect a 20 degree drop from the return but all is relative to ambient temps outside.

I have the 18k superglide. After taking the camper out to storage, the plate fell off. The dealer didn't use any lock nuts on the tightening screw. Almost hit the wife in the foot after unhooking. Good to see the dealer replace the tailgate.
