    Bad Shower door seal

The bottom sweep is available from Heartland from Parts Dept. I thought it would be covered under the warranty since I'm still under my one year warranty but I was informed it was not covered and if I wanted it I could buy it from Parts. Good warranty coverage?

    Changing out Oven to Amana

We're getting ready to do the same thing. You can get the 22'' Oven in the same size except for the height so it makes for an easier installation. It is around $400 plus $66 for shipping from a number of places online. That is a Magic Chef in black. White was discontinued but I've found a...

    Cabinet Hinges

Had every one of my cabinet doors on my 29RKSA do the same. The gorilla glue is the way I fixed all of mine and no more problems since last summer. With so many complaints you would think the factory would change the hinges.

ATF: ElkRidge - Slide Room Stopping due to overuse of putty

Both my main slide and my bedroom slide are binding to the point of stopping the motor on the main slide and serious binding on the bedroom slide. The top of the bedroom slide looks like it is going to pull the inside header off when you bring in the slide. Please see the attached pictures of...

    That deal went south!

When we started to deal $8000. came off the MSRP on our Elkridge before any mention was made of our trade. That's the way it should work if the dealer is on the level. JakeWandaWhite good luck as you deal in the future.

Connecting the Gray Water Tanks to one outlet

Porthole, Thanks for directing me to your Mods and the info on parts. I'll try this as soon as it warms up a little.

Connecting the Gray Water Tanks to one outlet

Thanks Terry H but I'm trying to come up with a way to connect the tanks before they exit the coach. I searched the Cyclone portal area but didn't find anything. I'm sure I'll have to drop the underbelly cover but was hoping someone had done this before and could offer advice.

Connecting the Gray Water Tanks to one outlet

I have a Elkridge 29RKSA with separate gray tank outlets. It's a pain to hook up two sewer hoses from the gray tank outlets or switch the front sewer hose to the rear then switch it back again. Has anyone with this set up plumbed the rear outlet to the front outlet. Seems like it could be...

    Ceiling light over dining table

You are correct, those two 12 volt light bulbs are really weak. I'm looking at changing mine out to some much brighter LED lights. Just started researching the options.

    Insulate the Water Lines

For the little cost and effort the water lines could be covered with pipe insulation to keep them from freezing in anything below 32 degrees which we see often in the southwest in winter. It's not just the Elkridge. I've talked with a number of Big Horn and Landmark owners that have had the...

    Freeze Up

Update: I opened up the under belly and fully understand why my lines froze up. From under the steps near the bedroom to the kitchen the lines where laying loose on the plastic/cardboard under belly against the metal frame. Where the axles brackets are welded on there are openings in the...

    Freeze Up

Thanks for all the help. I think I will proceed slowly and see if the lines are close to the frame after I open up the under belly and if they are I may heat tape them before putting on insulation. I appreciate the insights.

    Freeze Up

I'm 30 miles from the Mexican border but got hit with a large winter blast two days ago with a wind chill of -1 and actual of 9 degrees and currently with lows of 17-18 degrees. I have a rear kitchen and the water lines are freezing from mid ship to the kitchen. I thought as long as the...

    Cabinet Hinges

I have had every cabinet hinge pop off on my 29RKSA. Used gorilla glue on the plastic inserts with a q-tip and then press them back in, wait 30 minutes then reinsert screws and no further problems. Did this about 5 months ago.

ATF: Sundance - surge protecter/water regulator

I'd add a vote for the RV Water Filter Store. I purchased my pressure regulator and hoses from them a number of years ago. I also use a Surge Guard surge protector as I have seen what happens during a power surge and the damage it can cause. Also with the right surge protector it will save...

    Noisy Fridge Fan

I just went through the noisy fridge fan. Sounded like a refer truck running outside our bedroom and it cycled on and off constantly. The night before last at one point it cycled sixteen times in a row. Called Dometic and they said it was cycling because they (Dometic) put the sensor for the...

    Butyl Tape

Behind the rubber slide seals they used butyl tape. It sticks to the back of the rubber seals and as the slide goes in and out it smears butyl on the sides of the room and under the bedroom slide. The same thing has happened on the EPDM roof of the slide. I called the factory yesterday and...

    Butyl Tape

I believe the factory over did it with the butyl tape on my slide rooms. Every time I put them out I have butyl smeared down the sides of both rooms, under the bedroom slide and I found out yesterday on the length of the roof of my main slide. I just keep cleaning the sides with fiberglass...

    Dometic 2852 Fan Noise

I was looking in the wrong area as I dug into old threads. I see where others have had issues with fans. I guess if it keeps running with very loud noises I'll have to take it in to the dealer to have it changed. Thanks.

    Dometic 2852 Fan Noise

We have a the Dometic 2852 in our new ElkRidge. I've never had a refrigerator with a built in fan. I comes on and off but this morning the fan got very loud. Didn't sound normal at all. In all the different units I've had in the past none of them had an automatic fan so it kind of surprised...

    Fan-Tastic Vent

    Window Awnings for Slide Room

I did more research with Dometic and the length I need is a 126" and the vinyl is 121 1/2" which is exactly the distance from outside edge to outside edge of my two slide room windows. In that length it only comes with the metal wrap which makes it a little more expensive. In pricing around...

    Window Awnings for Slide Room

Has anyone added the window awnings on your two slide windows? Did a search but didn't find any info. My two windows in the main slide are 58 inches wide with slightly 6 inches between them. Wasn't sure if I could find something to fit.

    Vents pre-wired for AC?

If you want to make sure just take the vent trim off. You'll probably find two different sets of wires, one for the A/C (110Volt) and a set for 12 volt. We installed a Fantastic Vent Fan (12 Volt) and was really surprised at the amount of air it moved through our unit.

    Cabinet Door Hinges Pull Out?

I've found that a little Gorilla Glue around the insert works well and just putting the original screws back in. I've had three go out and another getting ready to pop.

    Replacement carpet

I've used Folex carpet stain remover on some pretty bad stains in the past (like a full glass of red wine in the middle of the living room floor) and it has worked well. Found it at Home Depot. Might be worth a try.

    Question about Slide Room

Is it safe to walk on or use the dinette in the main slide in the closed position when you are on the road and stop for a break? As I look at the structure of the slide room it looks weak so thought I should ask the question and not damage something. We picked up our new Elkridge 29RKSA last...
