    Weight Rating and New Wheels/Tires

Well, did the deed yesterday. Was close to going with a proper 16" rim and G614s, but ended up going with a 17.5" HiSpec Series 07 with Goodyear G114's. Might be overkill (well, yes, it is overkill), but I'm hoping this is the end of my tire worries. Certainly no guarantee that another...

    Weight Rating and New Wheels/Tires

Hi, All, Well, it was my turn last weekend to experience the TowMax detonation. Damage to the trailer was not as bad as feared, but it still made a mess. Tires on the RV are not something I want to worry about, so I'm considering the 17.5 wheel upgrade with Goodyear G114's from...

    Anode in Hot Water Tank

Hi, All, We have a 2012 300C, and I was looking in the manual for the hot water tank the other day for the location of the sacrificial anode. By looking at the manual, it appears this tank doesn't have one...? Anyone know if there is one and if it's replaceable? Thanks!

    300C problems

We've had a smaller subset of these problems...most notably the leak in the basement (leaking crossover pipe between the water tanks AND the fill tube, plus poor slope of the tank air vents) and the furnace issue (still unresolved...personally I think this unit is too large for the trailer...)...

How to seal fill tube and crossovers -- All leaking!

Did the same last night with the silicone. Filled the tank to capacity tonight, no leak after 4 hours, so I'm calling it fixed. (Actually, I slid the hose over the silicone last night, let it cure for 24 hours, then lightly tightened the clamps) Now, if I can just get the vent hoses properly...

How to seal fill tube and crossovers -- All leaking!

I had looked at some braided poly...I know my leak would disappear if I used it. However, the fittings are too close together to get the poly in without removing one of the tanks, and I don't suppose that will be happening at all! I picked up some T-Bar style clamps today, I'm going to give...

How to seal fill tube and crossovers -- All leaking!

Hope someone can help, I'm at the end of an already short rope!!! I have three leaks on my fresh water tanks, one where the fill line goes into the tank, and one on each end of the crossover from one tank to another. All three use the same hose as pictured below. I'm using the same...

SOLVED: Jensen DV2011 Remote IR Sensor

Re: Jensen DV2011 Remote IR Sensor Thanks, Jim. As it turns out, I ended up contacting ASA by email, they tell me that part is no longer made, which was why I could not find it on their website. I ended up using an IR repeater I bought for the TV (love where the TV is, but the shape of the...

SOLVED: Jensen DV2011 Remote IR Sensor

Hi, All, The above unit in my 2012 300C has an input for a remote IR sensor. This allows the sensor for the remote to be mounted remotely from the unit, which is cleverly hidden behind a glass door... I mail ordered a generic sensor for this unit ($5.00, so I figured it was worth a try), but...

    Removing TV on 300C??

Finally figured out how to get this TV out. Called the dealer, posted in Ask the Factory, but still no luck. Even called Customer Service, no luck there either. Amazing, 'cause the solution is so simple: If you have a 2012 Cyclone 300C and you would like to remove the TV, look over the top...

    Removing TV on 300C??

71stang99, Thanks for the info! Had a look at my TV this weekend and unfortunately, could find nothing like you mentioned. Maybe I have a different TV, or maybe they changed the mount for 2012 because the one in the 2011 wasn't a PITA enough! ;) Anyway, I've dropped an email to the dealer...

    300C Heating System Air Balance...?

Did you ever find the duct going to the underbelly?

    300C Heating System Air Balance...?

I ran my furnace for the first time (other than the couple of minutes at the dealer), and noticed the same problem as Urban350's earlier post, burner cycling on high limit. I haven't yet solved that problem (we've been in a bit of a heat wave here for the last couple of weeks), but I'm...

    Why not balance trailer tires???

Thanks for all the input...guess it's just one of those things that can be left by the manufacturers that won't affect the sale of the unit, but will save money over hundreds of trailers... Anyway, gonna grab some beads and get them in the tires ASAP.

    Tire Pressures

I have the factory original Towmax tires on my 300C. I've always been a stickler for running my tires at the inflation pressures on the door sticker of the vehicle they are mounted to. However, the door sticker has never recommended a pressure higher than that on the sidewall of the tire...

    Why not balance trailer tires???

My 300C (and several other 5th wheels from other manufacturers that I'm directly aware of) hasn't a single wheel weight to be found anywhere. This leads me to the conclusion that the wheel/tires were not balanced before leaving the factory. Why not? Yes, I know that nobody is...

    Removing TV on 300C??

Does anyone know how to remove the TV from this unit? There was no TV installed when we bought it, just a couple of 2X4's in the corner by the door. Next time we saw it, there was a TV there. I'm assuming there is some kind of "trick" to getting it out, but I'd rather know what I was doing...

    300C Toilet Paper Holder?

Great ideas all...was in the trailer last night, and I think we'll try putting it in the cabinet. I'll start with the super-cheap holder that came with the trailer, but instead of on the wall, I'm going to mount an angle bracket to the inside of the cupboard above the door (if there's a more...

    300C Toilet Paper Holder?

This may seem like a simple question, but I'll ask anyway... If you own a 300C (or unit with a similar bathroom layout) where did you mount the TP holder? The pocket door sits to your left...and the wall behind is out of the question (I could not reach around due to a back injury). I saw...

Road Warrior 30C - Actual Weights

Just to update...we finally "pulled the trigger" and are now Heartland Owners...though not of a 30C, but rather a Cyclone 300C. Drove down to Elkhart to get it...little disappointed we couldn't buy it locally, but there simply is nothing to look at in our part of Canada. Did get a factory tour...

Road Warrior 30C - Actual Weights

Thanks for the info. We've gone from considering a Cyclone 3010 (didn't make the cut...not enough room on the sides of the bed ), to a Torque 301...but the 30C or CY300C have been our favorite floorplans. We haven't seen either unit yet, we want to be fairly sure about the details...

Road Warrior 30C - Actual Weights

Thanks, AJ, that's a good point. I would be putting a 700 lb motorcycle in the garage, along with 2 kayaks (130 lbs) and the usual amount of other "stuff", so say a total of nearly 900 lbs, which by your reckoning would lighten the pin by about 400 lbs. Any chance the potable water tank is...

Road Warrior 30C - Actual Weights

Hi, We have been looking at a RW 30C, and really like the trailer, but as usual, weight may be a problem. I'd be towing with a 2006 GMC Sierra, 6.6L Duramax, Short Box, Crew Cab, 4X4, 3.73 gears. Looks as though there's no problem with GCWR, but the 30C lists the weight on the pin as 2900...

Finding Trailers / Importing to Canada

Hi, all, I suppose this question would be for the Canadian members in particular. We're in the market for a 5th wheel toy hauler, and particularly like the Heartland trailers. However, being in Central Canada is somewhat problematic, since almost no one carries toy haulers on their lots...
