Re: 2013 Goshen Rally - Vendor Specials Posted!

Got a question, not sure what time Friday evening we'll get in, is there someone we need to call so we can find out where to park. We're assigned a temp for Friday and Saturday.

Niles,

Enter Gate 1. Follow the road to the check-in trailer (a Big Country). If you are here past 6pm, there will be a phone number posted on the trailer for late check-in. Call it and Kevin or another team member will meet you to escort you to your site.

Hey, I'm interested in playing a round or two. Who's in charge od making reservations? We are coming in on Sunday and will be NW432. Please advise before Saturday morning.

Tom Combs is coordinating this. See the Golf Outing thread for details.

Hi Kevin,

Guidance on rally service items was given in the Rally Service Request Form (now closed). But essentially, small items repair/replacement. See the Rally Docs page. Scroll down to the Services section and download the Rally Service Process document. If you have not signed up for any service work, follow the instructions on that document.

Rig weigh in is done "as you arrive" or "as you leave" the venue. They are all setup on Hollyhock Lane here at the Fairgrounds. If you are not already signed up, you can still get weighed on your way in. Just tell the parking team you want to be weighed and you will be escorted to that queue.

See you soon!

Thanks Jim,

I'll be arriving before noon on Sunday. In my last trip the Trim piece around my Microwave broke off - I'm hoping that I can get that fixed as well as the molding on the front cap that is separating. Thanks for the direction for the weigh In..

We will be arriving tomorrow instead of Thursday. Will we be able to pay for the extra day at check-in or what?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Kevin will check you into the registration system electronically, upon your actual arrival. Nightly, Julie goes through and bills those who arrived early and does refunds for those who arrived later than planned. This is for pre-rally days of course.

Kevin,

If you only have the one item previously submitted, see the Service Desk on Monday morning the 17th to ask them to add your microwave trim item. Best efforts will be made to take care of it.

Are campfires allowed in the campground.

Ken, fires are allowed on a weather conditions permitting basis as determined by the office. And then only in self-contained fire pits. If you have one, go ahead and bring it. Just check with the office the days you want to use it.

Jim, or anyone else that knows,

Is there mail/package receiving at the rally? In other words, if we were to order something could it be delivered to the fairgrounds and held for pickup? If so, what would be the address? Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere, I left my laptop at work and am struggling along on the iPad.

Edited to add: I found the address via search (page 41 of this thread). Does that apply to UPS/FedEx as well? (Thread post mentioned mail specifically).

Address is in the Mail thread here. Yes, same address for UPS/FedEx.

I well be arriving some time Sunday after noon and have a service appointment with lippert first thing Monday morning will that be a problem pulling out in the morning and returning the same day?

Not sure where you will be parked, but I pulled out Tuesday morning from the IF area for a Lippert appointment and returned around 4pm with no problems. Be advised Lippert is very busy and parking is almost non-existent.

WooHoo....Today is the day. I started this thread 11 months ago in anticipation of this day. It has received over 53,000 hits, so I'm not the only one excited about this rally.

We leave in about 15 minutes....see you on Sunday.

Play your own game - but if it was me - I'd swing by Lippert 1st, see if there is room in the back and stay there, that way you really are there 1st thing.

Kevin - when you get the part number - order 2 - we need one "two".
Just an FYI, there is also a piece on the inside the the micro sits on, that also breaks.

Well all the NJ rain prior to departure changed things a bit.
We left Tuesday and are in Port Clinton Ohio. Beautiful park, East Harbor State Park. $24 for full hookup with a Passport America card.

The stop here was to investigate the hitch pin offered by Butch's Services.
Today we may stay or head to Goshen with a planned stop at the CMP Store (Civilian Marksmanship Program). Was going to do a Camp Perry tour, but no pets allowed.

An unplanned stop will be at Trailer Tire and Wheels.

We had a TPMS alert for low pressure on one of the G114's. Stopped to look on the Ohio Turnpike (which is still just as bad a road as every other time I have driven it) but elected to go to an exit.

At the "no parking here" lot at the salt dome I changed the offending tire. 2nd time the LevelUp did this.

There is nothing visible on the tire, and a quick spray down with water shows nothing, but it is steadily loosing air.

Possible problem with the TPMS valve cap passing air? Had a similar problem at the last Goshen rally with an inner dually on the truck with plastic gate valve caps. Replaced with metal ones and never another problem.
