Heading home to Ohio from Maggie valley Tuesday. Looking for somewhere to spend 3-4 days on the way home in tn or ky. Preferably along I 75 corridor. We have a 42 ft 5th wheel. Full hook up a plus but not mandatory. Water and 50 amp a plus. Looking for space and shade. Thanks.

The 2015 Kentucky rally was at this campground. Nice place although not a lot of shade.

Not far from Mammoth Cave and the Corvette plant. The middle of Bourbon country and according the my wife the best Mexican restaurant is across the street.

Duane, Cave Country is on I65 a bit out of their way to the west.

Another campground the state rally has been held at is Whispering Hills just north of Lexington and it's just a couple minutes off I75 https://www.whisperinghillsrv.com/

Construction on I75 between London and Mt Vernon (Renfro Valley) has caused horrendous traffic delays this summer. It may be quicker to take US-25 from Corbin to Berea (about 40 miles). It's a scenic drive with good roads but there are some stop lights.
There is a campground at Renfro Vally (exit 62) with reasonable rates and barely 1/2 mile from I75. http://www.renfrovalley.com/rv-park/
There is also a KOA at that exit that we've not been to but I'm told the road to it isn't the best
We live in the area...let us know if you need more info or help with anything!

Looks ok, little further off 75 than I wanted to venture. We’re at cross creek rv Park. Moody farm rd.

I should rephrase that - NASCAR Themed RV park.

Just looked it up, it is Stonebridge on Soco Rd (19), in between Soco Rd and where you were.

The park you were in looks new in SAT pictures, should be an improvement over Stonebridge.

Looks like maybe Stonebridge dropped their affiliation. Use to be NASCAR stuff and big screen race broadcast for the campground.

Did you make to Wheels Through Time while you were there?

RV Park Reviews is a good source of what to expect at campgrounds. We use it all the time. Been surprised at what we've found a couple of times, but fairly accurate.

We have stayed at the Corbin KOA. It was okay, but hard to get into with our unit. We have a Road Warrior 427, were we parked I had to back out of the site because the turn was to tight to take our unit.
In Tenn. we stayed at a KOA north of Knoxville, nice easy in easy out. Both of these were right off of 75 within 1 mile or so, not much more. Have you thought of the Kentucky Horse park in Lexington?
We have some friends who stay at the Whispering Hills just north of Lexington Ky.
