North Trail - 110v outlet in kitchen?

Hello everyone - this is my first post in this forum but have gotten lots of advice from y'all the last few months. We just purchased a NT 31BHDD this past weekend which will be built over the next few weeks as the local dealer didn't have the new floor plan in stock.

My question is : Does anyone know if there's a 110V outlet somewhere in the kitchen (maybe on the bottom of the upper cabinet?) I have never seen this unit in person and am wondering if I will need to install one for a coffee maker etc.

Thanks!

HI Bandit24573,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

When you go for PDI, or to pick it up, do a very good, slow inspection. Check everything from top to bottom and front to back. Make sure everything operates and you can operate everything. Have them have the water hooked up and check for leaks and even draining the tanks. Just check it all.

If you have questions about anything in/on your unit, you can find the answer most likely right here using the search option. We have a great search engine on the forum, both simple and advanced. Sometimes that is the fastest way to find an answer instead of waiting on someone to reply. While you are getting acquainted with the forum try out the search tab for fun.

Also we have a great owners manuals and Heartland User Guide area in the Tools tab at top of page. A lot of the guides are written by members or owners that actually used the subject.

And we also have the best folks in the rv world right here to help out with opinions and suggestions.

Enjoy the forum.

Hi Bandit24573,

Congratulations on the new North Trail. While I'm not familiar with the layout of your rig, it is quite common to have an outlet on the underside of the kitchen cabinets. Outlets typically can't be put on the exterior walls, so the cabinet is the usual choice.

Both of our North Trails had outlets under the cabinets. Usually just one. Make sure your appliances have long enough cords. Our electric tea kettle is about 1" to short. I have to put 2 cutting boards under it to get it to reach.

You'll love your North Trail.
Enjoy and safe travels.

Hi Bandit,
We have the NT26lrss with a similarly laid out kitchen as your model. The only 110v kitchen outlet on ours is located on the outside of the cabinet and below the counter top where the sink is next to the entry door. I installed an outlet on the underside of the overhead cabinet tapping into the microwave circuit. Caution not to have too many things plugged in and running the microwave simultaneously, although I have not blown a fuse yet using it. An alternative is to run an extension cord behind your sink to where your coffee maker will probably sit on the kitchen counter.

Enjoy the North Trail!
