satellite hookup

Just purchase a 2018 Heartland fuel 335 toy hauler. Looking for anyone's advice on how to hook up a roof mount dish Tailgater Satellite not exactly sure where to drop the coax through the roof any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully it is pre-wired. There is a blank plate (electrical outlet blank off), usually on the ceiling of your front bedroom that has the cables. Drill a hole through the roof. You can also tell if it is pre-wired if it has the 6 pin controller cable. That is usually in the closet.

I'm guessing a FUEL is not pre-wired for rooftop satellite like some of the high-end models are.

If so, you'll have COAX cables, and a Control/Power Cable going through the roof.

The control cable has to be routed to the location planned for the Controller - you can put it wherever you want, but it needs to be accessible so you can get to the controller to raise and lower the dish.

Assuming you have 2 external COAX connections for satellite, you'll need to run the COAX wires to that location. You may be able to disconnect the COAX wires from the backside of those external connectors and route the rooftop COAX to that location.

If you have a front closet with a nearby vent for a washing machine drain, you might run the wires down through the opening for the vent. Then the Controller could be placed in the closet and the COAX lines could probably be routed through the closet to meet the external COAX connectors in the basement.
