Hi everyone! I haven't been on a while and I apologize. But I know you all give great advice.
We purchased our Heartland Cyclone 3010 back in May 2012... We just noticed a little bubble on the side wall so I know it's going to be time to change. Since I've NEVER had any experience with a RV...
Martin just used the switch. It just broke. It's flappy and won't do a thing. We are going to take off the cover and try to figure how to retract it. Any ideas? Thanks! Irene
cyclone 3010
Last year I found that the slide was leaking after a heavy rain - almost hurricain force.
I brought it to a local RV dealer and they said they adjusted it but didn't really find a problem. We didn't really have anymore "driving rains" so we didn't notice any leaks. I have noticed from day one...
Hi All!
Happy Spring!
It's time for us to get the RV ready and we are going to head out to the Train Museum in PA this weekend (we hope) and it's time to de-winterize the Cyclone. This is our first winter with the RV and being newbies, we decided to pay someone to winterize it (and it wasn't...
I know they sell the pull out trays but they seem VERY expensive. What other things have you done to help tidy up the basement area. I need to also get access to the hot water bypass and when we brought the RV in, our basement was a mess. They charged us to move everything out to get access too...
Hi Everyone!
Sorry it's been so long!
Martin and I are thinking about moving out of Hoboken, NJ - and want to move to a community that allows RV parking on our property. We have a 35 foot Cyclone and there are so many restrictions out there in the town ordinances!
I know this is a long shot...
I went online and saw that a 32 inch isn't available for options... does that mean it's too big to fit? Also any suggestions on an arm that I would use to mount the TV? Any suggestions on a good size? Thanks!
Irene
We stopped for one night at the rv park where the rally was. On saturday night we saw a big horn pull in. we had to leave in the am so we couldn't really stop by and say hi. We were in parking spot 199.
We drove past you guys on the way out. Driving a black or grey ford 350 non dually...
We just picked up the rv from.crossroads and Kim at the front desk and Tim in the service area were super nice!
The problem is that we noticed wet carpet we got to our destination. When we opened the main slide, we noticed that the bottom carpet when the slide was fully out was very very damp...
Someone broke the key in the door. Where would I find replacements and would it be easy to change out? Or should I bite the bullet and buy the keypad RV lock. LOL.
Its for the back door, so it's not as important...
Also, when we were backing the RV up into a tight spot, I noticed that our...
Hi everyone,
Sorry about the newbie questions, but I'm heading up to Canada in a few weeks for 4 nights, mostly boondocking. No electricity anywhere.... I'm bringing my young son (14 months) and I have a few questions. I don't have my instruction manual with me (I left it in the RV which is 1.5...
Hi all!
I'm thinking of heading down to Cape May/Wildwood for the 4th weekend. We have off July 4th until the 8th.
Martin tried to book, but the largest space is 30 feet. Does anyone has any other suggestions for those dates in the area? We have the Cyclone 3010 which is 35 feet.
Thanks...
We will be coming back from the track when we get the Cyclone serviced. We don't have a place to put the bikes and I'm just not sure how safe it is to keep it in the garage of the Cyclone while its getting serviced.
What do you guy/gals think?
We could load the bikes in the bed and bring it...
I'm just curious, can I lower and raise the angle of the awnings? When we did the PDI, the tech said NO. Its so high up! I can't imagine getting good sun coverage all the time.
Thanks!
Irene
So as you may know, I picked up my Cyclone on Friday. I found a few problems, so I called a few places in NJ that work on Heartland:
Crossroads and they gave me the "You didn't buy it from me, so you will be last on the list to get worked on" bit. but they did give me a date. They are the...
Now that I have the Cyclone, I realize I need to get a few more 'neccessary' things.
Would you mind suggesting which ones to look for and why you like them/dislike?
1) sewage system (I've heard of the flush king) what else do I need?
2) Leveling blocks?
3) in line filter options?
Anything...
I'm not sure if this is normal.
This is my main slide when it's all the way in.
Both bottoms stick out a little bit. Meaning its not flush to the wall. The bedroom slide is flush. Also the nails look a bit strange. Looks like it could puncture the rubber seals.
I'm so excited!
I got the call and its ready! They got a lot of generators and its done. We have a tentative pdi date for Friday. I just have to book a flight out there and meet with hubby who's driving out first.
Questions:
Would anyone be willing to post or email a link to a good PDI...
And I wanted to know, should I buy 8 sensors or 10? I have a 2012 GMC 3500 SWR and will be getting the Cyclone 3010.
I hear people put it on both the TV and the RV, should I also get two spare sensors?
Thanks!
Irene
And its killing me!
It was supposed to be finished early next week (with the pick up on Thursday or Friday, May 2-3) since the original build date was supposed to be April 23, but I found out there is a generator shortage. Heartland (Mike) has been great with trying to see what the status is...
I'm getting ready to pick up the Cyclone soon (I hope) and wanted to get some clear storage boxes ready when I get there. I'm already starting a nice collection of things I want to have with me when we go out there.
What size storage box will work best? Under the sofa? In the basement?
Thanks...
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but we now need to buy a hitch. Got the truck and know we are getting the cyclone 3010.
So the next question is which hitch to get. I know the cyclone has the 88 turning thing, but I'm still nervous. I've heard that we don't need a slider but I...
So we are so close to buying but I have a major fear. I'm new. No idea what to look for in a walk through or how to use the rv.
We would most likely have the rv delivered.
Many dealers say the drivers are not qualified to do the orientation. Some say their drivers are. I'm not sure who to...
So I love the Cyclone (on paper), but its approximately 8k over the cost of a Torque, no including any 'extra's that I want to add onto it.
We will need to also upgrade our truck so that's a lot of expenes out there.
I'm curious what the main differences are between the two and is it really...
I finally got to see one!
We were getting off 787 near Albany into the ny thruway south. I saw them up ahead and asked hubby to slow down so I could look at
Even though we just drove past it. It looked great! I don't know the model but it was big, three axels, towed by a black gmc sierra...
My husband and I have narrowed down our rv choice to a few companies. Heartland is top of the list.
My cornern is after emailing the regional rep, there are no dealers that sell the product. He says if a dealer carries the Heartland product it could be serviced there but it would be up to the...
