    F150

We pull a Prowler Lynx 285lx, which is around the same dry weight and a little longer, with a 2013 F150 EcoBoost 3.55 using an Andersen hitch. You know it's back there but it never feels unsafe. Been from Winnipeg to the Rockies and also to Toronto via the UP and up into the Keweena Peninsula...

    F150

Should handle it easily with a good weight distribution/sway control hitch.

    Towing Question

I tow a 285LX with my 2013 EcoBoost with tow package and the truck handles it OK. I think you quoted under on your dry weight though because that's the dry weight of my trailer and the Heartland site lists yours up around 7500 lbs dry. Most important is good weight distribution and sway control...

    Prowler TOO BIG! Seeking advice

I'd probably be tempted to back the trailer all the way down the driveway. Easy to keep a long trailer going straight.

Help!!! - Wife is at the coast with a broken awning......

Same as the awning on my Prowler. I'm going to check that those screws are tight when we pull it out to de-winterize.

    2007 Ford F150 5.4 Triton

You shouldn't have any issues although steep hills may be a challenge. You have a good buffer between your tow capacity and GVW. Do make sure you have a good weight distribution setup with sway control. That's a pretty big sail behind your truck. It's a few feet shorter and 1000 lbs lighter than...

    Jacking, Bearing and Brake Session

I had to do the same thing last year, but it seemed they gradually got tighter through the season and I had to back down my brake controller. Supposed to work the other way, isn't it?

    Bunk bedding

You won't find specific sheets for these bunks. We use sheets fitted for a normal mattress, and usually an unzipped sleeping bag. You can tuck the extra sheet material under the mattresses easily.

How to mount a TV in a Prowler Lynx

I haven't mounted the TV in ours after 3 years. We store it on the bed and set it up when we get to our camping spot. Of course I destroyed one TV this way too. The wall behind the entertainment unit needs reinforcing to carry the weight of a mounted TV.

F-150 with 3.5L eco boost V6 for a travel trailer TV

I tow a Prowler Lynx 285 lx (6700 dry, 9000 gvw) with a 2013 EcoBoost which is far more trailer than yours. Average anywhere from 7 to 9 average mpg depending on winds. A couple of steep mountain passes proved challenging. Your TT is lighter and more aerodynamic. With the current 3.5 l EcoBoost...

New TV for an Edge M18

I agree with that. If you can find a 15 or 16 with the 2.7L engine then great fuel economy and the ability to tow something much larger than what you have now. That said, I don't think you have issues pulling that TT with a Chevy Colorado if it's properly equipped.

Has anyone with a travel trailer tried any of the aftermarket auto-leveling packages?

Pair of screw jacks would stabilize nicely too if you can get in there.

Small gutter leak on passenger side

I have leaks on both sides, in particular over the front door. I'm thinking this method may be the easiest. The driver's side leak is over the slide room gutter so it's not as big a concern. One little piece of overall shoddy workmanship.

Is a Ford F-150 EB 3.5 Ok for Elkridge E22

You're welcome. I know many people that would do it by adding helper springs or airbags but they don't change the GVWR of the truck. If you bought a properly equipped 2018 F150 you could handle that 5th with ease. 156.8" wb Supercrew 4x4 with the heavy duty payload package is rated is rated up...

Is a Ford F-150 EB 3.5 Ok for Elkridge E22

That makes your payload capacity 1590 lbs but you're rated for towing 9700 lbs. That leaves you 170 lbs of payload and your Pullright Superglide is going to use that up. I wouldn't do it because it will make you overweight.

Is a Ford F-150 EB 3.5 Ok for Elkridge E22

Tow package is a factory add on. Heavy duty would be on top of that. With the 3.73 axle you may have it. Does it have factory tow mirrors? Do you know the GVWR (off the door plackard)? That would help. Your max payload is either 1590 lbs or 1960 lbs if you have the heavy duty trailer tow...

Is a Ford F-150 EB 3.5 Ok for Elkridge E22

More about your truck. Cab configuration and wheelbase. Heavy duty trailer tow package? You're going to have 1420 lbs approx of hitch weight which pretty much leaves out any room for cargo or passengers if it's a super crew. We bumper pull 6700 lbs dry 9000 lbs gross with a 2013 EB super crew...

    New 2018 prowler 25 lx

We have a 285lx and friends of ours recently purchased a 25lx, although I haven't heard if he had any problems. On our unit both doors needed adjusting, although you have just one. Make sure that the screen door latches securely and that the outside door doesn't rub. Make sure both pull rods for...

ATF: Prowler - Outer booth half wall

Ours fell apart after my wife leaned back on it. Dealer rebuilt it for us under warrantee. Top popped off again last year. I did a quick fix which has held but may take it apart and fix it properly the way it should have been from the factory. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Prowler fridge off household circuit

Should be a couple of clips (ours were in the fridge I think) to keep the doors cracked open but secure. Do that when not in use. We tend to keep the fridge running most of the summer though. I sure do like some of the features they added to the Prowler Lynx since we got ours a couple of years ago.

First Time Towing a larger camper

Don't exceed 65 mph! That's all your trailer tires are rated to, assuming they are properly inflated. Truck: I tow a slightly heavier TT with a 2013 F150 EcoBoost super crew with trailer tow package. It does the job quite happily. Next best thing to a diesel 3/4 ton and it's my daily driver...

First Time Towing a larger camper

You are really pushing the limits of your tow vehicle, and with passengers and cargo will easily exceed your limits. Time to consider a new truck. Also consider that the dry weight does not take into account your battery of propane tanks.

Which Is The Black Water Gate Valve

It's easy to figure out on travel trailers with setups like ours. Black tank is the rear because the toilet is in the rear and on top of the black tank.

Which Is The Black Water Gate Valve

On our Prowler both sides are identical.

Which Is The Black Water Gate Valve

Left will be the grey tank, right will be the black. The toilet drains directly into the black tank which puts the black tank at the rear.

    WD Hitch for TT

You're going to get lots of opinions. I've been using an Andersen Ultimate WDH for a year and love it. Lifetime warranty too. my TT is around 6700 dry 700 tongue weight. Pulled by a 2013 F150.

Is the shower supposed to be sealed?

It's not sealed for a couple of reasons. #1 is that the insert expands and contracts with changing temperatures. #2 is that if any moisture does get back there it needs to be able to escape or you will get mold problems. The tub has a lip behind the shower insert to keep water from getting...

Slide on passenger side leaks water when driving in rain
