Fiberglass side panels are getting ridges is this normal????

Difficult to comment without pictures. It could be just a "print through" of the structure. We have some of this with our Big Country and I do see it on many other rigs. Hopefully it is nothing serious! Best Wishes!

    Fuel $

Thanks for that tip...I have used "Gas Buddy" but never thought about checking Pilot. Just did...the range is $4.45 to $4.65 depending the area of our state (east/west) Still seems to be some of the highest prices in the country :(

    Interior light problem

I am not an electrician by any means but at our last rally a guest had just one bank of lights on the door side quite working. Found a loose wire nut on the first light...appreantly they are hooked in series or something. Tightened the loose nut and they all worked.

    2013 WA State Rally Discussion

Re: 2013 Rally Discussion Thanks for the recommendtions Tom. I will add them to the list of possibles! One common theme the past two years with rally plans is that 100% of the people responding to the survey wanted full hook ups and 50amp if possible. I didn't even think to add it to this...

    2013 WA State Rally Discussion

Greetings! As many of you are aware, I recently sent out a Pre-Planning" Survey for our 2013 Rally. The way I do that is to use a list of all Heartland Owners Forum members which, other than the WA Chapter List, is all I have to work from. That PM was sent to over 700 forum (not club) members...

Forum Issues - June to August 2012

Re: Forum I agree...it has been terrible here. Making it difficult to some pre-planning for our 2013 event. In addition to the "busy" error I am having problems with the PM edit window including creating links etc. I think if we wait a few days they will get it ironed out!

    A Big THANK YOU

AnaLyn and I wish to thank the Dawson's, Kristy Carlson, Jim Beletti and the Heartland Owners Club for a very fun time at the 2012 Pacific Regional Rally. Everything was "first-class" from the park itself to the BBQ by Guaranty RV staff, to the fabulous buffet at the Seven Feathers Casino. This...

    Oregon 126

Thanks Bill...we got up early and headed out vis HWY 38. We heard on the news Westfir was having aq wild fire problem so we went north. Very pleasant drive. Ended up at River Bend in Harrisburg. Kind of a parking lot in the dry country. It's 95 now and AnaLyn is no longer cold! Went into town...

    Oregon 126

AnaLyn is freezing over here on the coast...Charleston is 50 degrees and fogged in now for two days and the forecast is for the same. Need to work our way back home...looking at crossing over on 38 and stopping in Westfir or going 126 on to Harrisburg and stopping at River Bend. How is 126 to...

    new vinyl flooring

Seems to me the slide can be adjusted for any additional height the extra vinyl would create. I would be more concerned about possible wrinkles from the two layers. I have seen some cover the vinyl with laminate flooring and have no problems with the slides. Good Luck with your project!

    Fading paint

That's awesome I am glad it worked out for you! Again, Heartland steps up where I believe many would not. Unfortunately for us, an out of pocket expense to fix this flaw is simply not in the cards at this time. Still trying to save to have the bulkhead replaced...water got in there and wrinkled...

    Leaking when it rains

I did just that this summer! Removed the old and sealed with new. FYI I would recommend using a polyurethane based sealant rather than a silicone and Dicor Self-leveling lap sealant on the flat surfaces of the roof. Although some people have success with silicones most RV manufacturers and...

    Fading paint

Re: Fadind paint Not sure if you have a Big Country with the gray caps or perhaps another model but the gray color has fading issues. I doubt many take better care of the exterior than I. Wax it 4 times yearly, re-caulk almost non-stop, etc. etc. I was able to slow the fading process using...

Can't hear over tv over air conditioner

Plan B...wireless headphones. Not everyone cares to wear an audio headphone but they do work quite well. Good for watching TV when spouse is sleeping and you can also listen to your favorite music outside without disturbing your neighbors. Just a thought!

Can't hear over tv over air conditioner

I found this "blurb" on another forum... Based on the pamphlet they provide, or maybe it's the manual, there appears to be at least two paths for audio in from your television. If you have a Toshiba like mine, you have access to a Toslink digital audio output that can be shared with your...

    best wax?

I do the cap at least 4 times a year simply because that is what I do! Keeping the RV and bike looking new is my therapy! :) Keeping the gray caps from fading is a chore. The Rejex has slowed that process but it is beginning to turn white in areas!

    best wax?

16oz should do your rig a couple of times or nearly so. I use it on the caps only about four times a year and my 16oz is still going after two years. From the Rejex website: The RejeX coating is very thin (approximately 1 micron), so a little goes a very long way. A 16 oz. bottle should cover:•...

    Cross Border Warranty ?

We just had our WA rally last week and a Canadian guest who purchased in WA can't get any dealer to work on his new rig. Thinking about leaving Heartland

Hopefully not putting a "jinx" on anything but our Accuslide works very well. I believe it is quicker than the hydraulics. They move in such a "positive" manner for lack of a better term. No hesitation or speed changes. I hope they continue to be a reliable piece of equipment!

    Tire heat

Don't know what is "the acceptable" range but ours can get 15-20 degrees above ambient tempertures. What I watch for mostly is any tire with a drastic temp difference from the others. Expect the shade side tires to be cooler.
