The bed slide trim on my Greystone Re32 slide is flexing inward when the slide is out. Just looking at it it looks like the slide is a box and 1/2 plywood flanges were fastened to the box to keep it from falling out of the trailer. This seems to be a normal set up but my main slides seem to...
Thanks. The box is in front of the door near the floor. No acid but maybe water. No indicators just no A/C. The fact that so many were burned bothers me. I have a new box coming. When I cut the neutrals loose none were loose. I'm very thankful that it didn't flame.
Jeff
A/C quit and called mobile service. This is what he found. A/C neutral burned in two. Reconnected and all has worked fine. 6 week trip. Limited loads and checked a lot. Ready to fix. No heat damage to hot wires. Would a loose neutral to A/C cause this? Your thoughts apprciated. I hope the...
From MattPopp "That's kind of funny that the HL rep told you that. As I was going through the channels to get my trailer repairs covered by the tire manufacturer. One of the places I had to go to was a dealer for Towmax tire. Which was NTB. The guy there told me right off the bat before...
I did a search for goose neck adapters and found lots of bad reviews but the Goose Box seemed to fair out well. AS normal for me I can't find the original posting for the Goose Box, but I had some questions.
My present set up is the B&W companion. When I make a tight turn the plastic shroud...
Paint for doors
I posted a thread for the paint color to match the light gray in the Greystone so I could paint my chalking furnace and heater doors. The moderator moved it and now I can't find it so....... I'll post again and maybe he'll move this one there also:). Had some one suggest...
I installed mine a few months ago but did a lot of setting in a park. I checked them first thing in the morning, 6:00a and found the pressures stayed consistent. Then took it on a trip north. Set in a park for 4 days and when I got ready to leave I had a low tire. We were headed back so...
The forums postings are listed last posting first. I guess this is fine if you monitor the forums but if you just check every so often it does not work. I would like to see an option to have the first posting listed first; I like to see the problem before I see the solution. If this option...
I had one made locally for my old trailer and I made the second one for my Greystone. I used a plastic tarp. I found a gray one and cut it to size. Sewed the edges and added nylon straps ( sewed and pop rivet) at the bottom to anchor it to the ground. It might sound like it looks cheap but I...
I don't know what your layout is but like Cookie said check your connection. Not just the ones in the belly but those under the sinks and out side shower. Most of mine were 'not tight' and when they leak the run down the hole for the drain line and end up in the basement. The tissue around...
We just took a tour of the plant. You got right up to the 'line', touch and feel; they set the trailer frame on tolleys and push them sideways down the line. I wish I would have taken pictures, though I don't know if it is possible. I kept running back and forth to see something else. I...
We just got back from a trip to your neighbor across the lake; way up to St Ignace and Whitefish Bay. Very beautiful and cool. Back to Kansas and hotter in the morning than daytime temps there. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look around for an auto store with the technology.

I replaced ours with a light simaliar to this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RV-Boat-12-volt-Swivel-Reading-Light-Black-/300757715403?pt=Motors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories&hash=item46068e89cb&vxp=mtr.
Do a search on Ebay for 12 Volt swivel lights and all sorts come up. I...
Has anyone found a match for the pale gray siding on a Greystone? The paint on the doors for the water heater and the refrigerator out side turned to chalk and ran down the side of the trailer. I cleaned them up and repainted but the paints I found are a lot darker and more blue. Brand and...
Home Depot or maybe Lowes has a neat little hose cap with a 200# guage. Screws right on the hydrant. If all else fails make your own with hose to pipe, bushings and a 200# guage. I'm setting with city pressure at 95 # and it wipes out the little camco inline regs. Went with a Watts H56 and...
Maybe not the right forum but does anyone know what the wall insulation in Greystone 32RE is?? I have warm spots in the walls on the sunnyside.
Move if this should be somewhere else
Jeff
Installed the Jack head on my mast and I think it improved the signal but.... it loses signal completely. Pulled down the crank and cover and can see a connection through the hole. If I wiggle it my signal comes back. Tried to pull out a speaker to get at it but no go. My question: I have...
Thanks everyone. I'm not sure if that's the answer I want, but it's comforting to know I suffer equally. I had the rig last year in Iowa and we had near the same temps and I don't remember this situation but I has some trees to shade in the late afternoon. Here I have none 'till she's almost...
100 degrees in Nebraska and the A/C holds a pleasant 90 degrees inside. Did some checking and measuring and here are the results. Ambient 93, inside 81, air from A/C 62. I checked the post on the 'tent' and that really doesn't appy although I did remove the cover and built a chute to the same...
Yes, same thing on a Greyston 32 RE. Took it to a spring and axel and they say the wheel bearings wheer loose and needed repacked and the alignment was out. 9300 miles and a few months out of warrenty but it was submitted to Lippert anyway. Haven't heard back. Oh wait, was that a belly...
My dealer during the set up told me in no uncertain terms that if you run your AC on a 120 household circuit you will burn up the AC and "they" will know and deny a warrenty claim. That said, and I am not an electrian, it is not the amps that bother you its the voltage drop. Most if not all...
I went to the site and it talks about 12v power to the antenna and not to use the OEM power injector. How do you handle that? My antenna is in the from of the trailer and the pi is in the rear with the TV. I was thinking about the full replacement. Sorry if I am hijacking the thread.
Jeff
Here's my tale and my problem. Had a very bad water leak under my bathroom vanity in by Greystone 32RE. I'm not sure how long it ran for, but it woke me up at night with the noise of rushing water. It ran down thru the floor by the drain and flooded the basement. I pulled every thing out and...
If this is still active I'll throw in my comments. I always turn off the water heater whenever I see my known loads are approaching 30 amp. You don't know when the heater is coming on and it is surprizing how fast you can reach that 30 amp without noticing. On comes the water heater and out...
Just my preference but I could not see getting on my knees to operate the awning switch and lights in my Greystone RE. Removing the slideout counter exstension to get to the back of the switches was the hardest. I have a post in 120V electrical for that. Moved the switch up near the counter...
The drawers in our Greystone RE bedroom had almost 3" of depth behind the drawers. The cabinet sets that far away from the wall and the ceramic top creates the illusion that the cabinet is a lot deeper. The drawers were only 10" deep. It takes some wood working but I took the drawers apart...
Re: How to remove the pull out to get at the electrical
Thanks to those who replied. I had to remove the srews from the hinge to the cabinet to remove the cabinet. I then contacted KV the maker of the slides.
"The release is about 12" back from the KV logo First remove the metal screws...
Re: How to remove the pull out to get at the electrical
This set is different. All the others are as you indicate but these are the bottom set and I do not find any visible release.
Thanks, though.
Jeff
Not sure where to put this so if it's not right please move it. How do you release the bottom drawer slides to remove the slideout under the kitchen cabinet to access the back side of the electrical panel on a Greystone 32RE? Grey stone uses a slide with a black plastic level release on all of...
Well, Stupiditiy won again. I pulled out from under my Greystone 32Re without lowering the legs. It set down nicely and wrinkled the truck bed. The pin box did not touch just the bed rails. There is no appearant damage to the trailer, nothing is bulged or out of level. This model has a...
Not sure if this is the place,but... Closed the door side slide on our Greystone 32RE and failed to see the open cabinet door on the overhead storage above the entertainment center. Glue will fix but I'm making a mod that I hope will prevent this (other than a great big sign). I raised the...
John,
In your second picture there is an angle welded to the side. Do you think the outside wall sets on this, meaning the channel frame is in 2" or so from the out side surface?? Great picture, thanks.
Jeff
I want to anchor my front garage skirt with 1/4" eyebolts into the framework around the edge of the 5th wheel overhang. Since it is all enclosed I can't see what is under it. I don't want to tear it all off to see. Has anyone had the frame uncovered to see or found drawing of the frame on a...
