I have been using 160 from Pagosa Springs, CO to 89 to Flagstaff and then 17 through Phoenix down 17 to Florence AZ.
I would like to take a different route this year which includes 60 from Show low to Globe. I see some switchbacks. Is this route capable With a 37' 5er?
Thanks,
Bruce & Lu
Thanks for all the help and suggestions. My wheels are T07 8 spoke with 3750 load capacity. It looks like Maxxis is the tire I need.
Thanks again,
Bruce
I have Towmax tires and want to replace them. They are ST 235/80R16. The only replacement for that size is ST Goodyear Marathon. I cannot find any other brand or LT tires that size. I hate to buy new wheels too.
Any suggestions?
Bruce
There are many rv's with rope lights around on the ground in the park. Do these stop animals from getting under the unit or are they just for show? Or are they for some other purpose?
The meter is monitored by the park and we pay the park directly. It gets chilly at night so we were running the furnace at night at about 60deg. We were refilling propane once a week at $25 per fill (30#). So we bought an electric ceramic heater and set to the lowest setting at 65deg at night...
Dumb question.
I am paying for electricity at the rv park we are in. I am plugged into the 50amp but we don't need 50amp. If I plug into 30amp, will my electric bill go down?
Bruce & Lu
Trying to track the problem down.
1. Close #2 and #1 valves and fill the sink several times. Open valve #1 and no drainage. Open #2 and the water drains.
2. Close both valves and fill the bathtub with about 10 gallons then pull the plug. Open valve #1 and no drainage. Open valve #2 and the water...
I know the tank lights are not too dependable but all 4 are all lit for tank #2. I have the drain valve open at all times. If I close it the sink will not drain after a day of usage. If I leave it open the sink drains.
How can I tell if the tank is full and the valve is working?

This is our first time away for the winter. We left Colorado at 20 deg. and 8" of snow on the roof. We are now at Desert Gardens, Arizona for the next 5 months.
I have seen some Heartland models but no owners club plates.

We are getting ready to travel this week from Colorado to Arizona for the winter. The last time I checked the tire pressure, it was warm out and all 4 were at 80lbs. Today it is 24 deg. and the pressure is 70lbs.
Will the pressure drop 10lbs? Should I increase the pressure?
Bruce & Lu
I have Towmax tires in our new Sundance. We have been in 5 outings this year totaling about 3000 miles and have not had a problem. I check tire pressures and feel the tires for overheating when I stop for fuel.
I have read all the threads regarding Towmax tires and I am getting concerned. There...
Our recliners are not wall huggers and we have to move them more than 18 inches away from the windows or we will dent the screens again. They also do not lock into place. The sofa is like a slip and slide material and you can wind up on the floor.
We decided to replace all this. We found some...
When I camp under trees for a couple of weeks, I like to clean off the top of the slides before retracting them. I can walk on the roof and do the best I can with a broom but I sure would like to get on the slide and clean it very well.
I am afraid to step on the slide itself.
How do you clean...
A gust of wind lifted my fully extended awning and it retracted about halfway then opened all the way again. Is it possible it has a auto retract? I cannot find that in the manual. The switch was in the off position.
By the way, we are at West Yellowstone KOA.

The capacity of the fuel tank on my 2008 F250 Super Duty, extended cab with the short bed, is listed as 30 gallons in the user manual. It is also listed at 30 gallons in on-line sites. When I let it go down to almost empty I can only get 24 gallons to fill it. I am wondering if the electronic...
I made reservations in January at Yellowstone before I bought my Sundance. The reservation was for 35 ft. and under. Our new Sundance is 37ft. so I called Yellowstone and asked for a 40ft. site, they were sold out.
I asked if I came anyway, would my unit fit in the 35ft. site and they said NO...
We have been out with our new Sundance 4 times already and have always hooked up to fresh water. Our next outing we will be dry camping so I have some dumb questions.
1. Since I have only using city water with a hose, has any water gone into my fresh water tank?
2. When I get to my camping...
This being our first time away for the winter, we decided on Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in Casa Grande. It is a large place but good reviews. We don't golf but it looks like the park is broken up with some nicer views besides other RV's and park models.
Bruce & Lu
Hi Jodi, we are in our second week at Priest Gulch.
I have been looking at Casa Grande RV parks and they look a bit less crowded. When I find a park on rvparkreviews, I look on Google maps to see the amount of park models. Sometimes it is very difficult to find an RV in the park.
Tell Dean I...
We are getting very discouraged finding an RV park for our first winter getaway. My wife is having a medical procedure in Mesa AZ and thought we would stay the winter while she mends. All the so called RV parks look like mobile home parks with all the park models. Are there any RV parks left...
To answer a couple of questions. I use a folded blanket on top of the cab because it slides easily and with the strap through the inside it holds very tight. I have had no problems. I tried the single post design with a cross bar but it proved to be too weak and broke.
I have driven on some...
First off I have a 2008 Ford and it has 2 bolts on each side. I drew the plans and I had the brackets fabricated at a local shop for 50 bucks. The rest of the frame is standard pipe. I slide the canoe on the frame until it reaches the cab, then I rest it on a blanket so not to scratch the cab...
The lines are indeed the black tank flusher. This is the first time I hooked up a water line to it while camping, I only used it when actually flushing the black tank.
I disconnected the hose and will only connect when I need it. At that time I will check for leaks.
Bruce
Thanks, Dave
I can only see the 2 blue lines when I remove the panel inside the trailer that allows access to the water heater. I can see the lines but cannot even reach them. They go up through the floor at that point. There is no other access.
Bruce
Our 4th time out with our new Sundance I have water dripping under the trailer. I found the source. There are 2 blue lines that go through the floor into the bathroom. I assume they go to the sink and the toilet. The water runs down the line to a low point then it drips.
This started when I...
Our new Sundance has a 40" flat panel TV mounted on the back wall. I would like to change the mount from fixed to a swivel mount. My first problem is trying to remove the TV from the mount so I can take a look at how it is mounted before I purchase a new mount.
Can someone tell me the make of...
