Where do I find the ground

Thanks for the replies. I’m camping With a few friends and will have one of them plug into my trailer to see if it’s my truck that’s the problem. Jim

Where do I find the ground

I’m having what appears to be a grounding issue. Not all the running lights work, and directions don’t work unless running lights are off. Brake lights are dim. Can someone tell me where to look for a possible bad ground. thanks Jim

    Breaker size

Hi everyone, wondering if someone can tell me the size the breakers are on the 12 volt breaker bar near the battery. I know one is a 50 amp that is for the level up and slides. It's the others I am referring to. I would like to pick up a couple to have on hand. Thanks Jim

SOLVED: Slides and 6 point landing gear shutting off

Re: Slides and 6 point landing gear shutting off You guys are the best! I have recently been having problems with my slides and level up. After reading this thread, I changed my breaker, and all is well. I have an extra in case it happens again. thanks again.

New Heartland 5th Wheel Owner - Oakmont

Congrats on the new rig. We have an Oakmont 325RE for almost a year now. So far it has been great. One word of caution. It is TALL!! 13'4". As long as you keep that in mind you should be fine. About the only real complaint we had (and it is minor) is that the entry could use another step. When...

    Our new Oakmont 390MBL!!!

I like that lock. Was it hard to install? I find that I am outside a lot when I think of something in the camper, but have to go in the house for the keys. That's a nice solution. Jim

    Wheel bearings

Just wondering if anyone has greased their Dexter EZ Lube bearings yet. I plan to as soon as the weather gets a bit warmer. Planning on using the Level up to lift each side. From what I have read that shouldn't be a problem. Jim

One more thought on the 325RE

We have had our 325RE since early June and have used it many times. Over all we are very happy with it and have only one small problem (this is good since our dealer is 200 miles away). The one suggestion we have come up with is adding another step to the entryway. With the auto leveling...

We have the 325RE. there is no mount in the basement, just a connector for the cable. Not sure if all models are that way. Jim

    Our new rig

Thats what we hoped to get, but ended up with a smaller (8 cubic foot I think). All the brochures showed the french door style when going with the gas/electric style, but ours is smaller. Hope you are enjoying the new rig. I just returned yesterday from our final trip of the year. Time to...

    Picking up an Oakmont 325RE

Re: 325re I've thought the same thing. We have had it since June and haven't seen another one yet. Dual AC is another good idea. Being in the north east we didn't think it was very necessary, but I think the high ceilings and lack of roof vents really trap the heat. Feel free to ask any other...

    Level up for winter storage

I'm actually thinking of leaving the back four in the up position and have just the landing legs down. snow depths around my area can really limit access to my rig. Jim

Level up: Do you still chock the tires?

Do you all still chock the tires with your level up? With our previous 5er we used the X-Chock, but haven't used it with the Level up. Just wondering what others are doing. Thanks Jim

    LED Awning Lights

    Pete's RV

I bought thru the Vermont location. My experience was less than impressive. Lack of communication was the biggest problem. I have a friend who went thru them also and had a decent experience. I think it depends on who you get for a sales person. Jim

Maine to DC (out around NYC)

I can't comment on your entire route, but I have done I84 to I81 in PA. In my opinion it is worth the extra miles to avoid New York and New Jersey. I would suggest one route change around Hartford though. As I remember it was 91 to 691. This avoids traffic in Hartford. Jim

    Gas/Electric Fridge placement for 325RE

We recently took delivery of our 325RE. So far so good. One suggestion for models with the Gas/Electric option. Switch the pantry to the left side and push the fridge to the right. that would allow access to the fridge with the slide in. As it is now, the door is blocked by the kitchen island. Jim

    Another 325re question

I was afraid that would be the answer I got (and thank you for answering). Just seemed there was no other place for them, but why no access without removing a wall? I guess it isn't a big deal, but a door with hinges would make more sense. My two cents worth. Jim

    Another 325re question

Ok, took delivery last week and I'm embarrassed to ask this, but where is the water pump and how do I access the bypass valves for the hot water heater? I've looked, but can't find them.

    Oakmont 325RE

Hi All, We have a 325 RE on order. Looking forward to hearing from others with the same model. We went with the traditional Gas/Electric fridge (which is why we needed to order). Wonder what others think of the residential fridge that seems more prevalent in these units. Jim
