Has anyone had an experience with Trailer King Tires???
These are replacing the Tow Max on some new Heartland RV's....
Same MFG as the Tow Max but is suppose to be a higher quality tire...
Tredit Tire says they have not had any issue thus far, but they don't deal with warranty claims.

Sailun is by dynamic tire co also and people love them. So yeah tire company can have a good product and a not as good product.

My understanding is that Dynamic Tire is a Canadian company that imports tires for distribution to wholesale and retail outlets. Sailun is one of the brands they import. Complicating relationships, Dynamic was purchased by Sailun a year or two ago and operates as a subsidiary. But regardless of who owns the company, Dynamic is an importer of tires made by various companies.

I have been posting about tires for many years. So here is my current take.

15" or smaller their are few choice and Maxxis M8008 might be the best bet.

5200 and 6000 axles. Michelin XPS Ribs or Bridgestone Duravis R250, both are steel ply carcass tires.

The Bridgestone Duravis R500 is a good choice in a two ply poly carcass. Money savers my want Firestone Transforce HT.

7K axles. Goodyears G614's or one of the two Sailun S637's

Really heavy! 17.5" rims and 215/75R17.5 Goodyear G114 or many other choices.

Carlisle! Carlisle had a terrible rep for many years, and then they introduced the Radial Trail RH with a "new" Nylon cap/ply and they championed as the solution to tire problems with ST tires. Towmax followed up with a Nylon cap/ply. Well we now know that is has not resolved the Blowmax issue or the Marathon issue(they got the Nylon ply in the last 90's).

Westlake: Grand Design is using these and we need more info, however I the ST E rated tires remain suspect. They have a LRG all steel and I have no feed back on it to date. Cedar Creek's that we looked at had these LRG tires.

Any other ST tires should remain suspect.

When I called Tredit Tire, they stated that Towmax, Trailer King, Sailun, and a few others are all made by the same MFG, just a different name and some in different plants...Can't remember the name off hand but the MFG wasn't Dynamic Tire....as Dan is correct they are an importer and not the mfg.

The DOT code on the tire sidewall identifies the manufacturer and the plant of manufacture (location). We've had this discussion about 2 years ago and did a lookup on the Towmax and Sailun DOT codes. They showed the tires were made by different companies, in different facilities located hundreds of miles apart in China.

Unless things have changed, Sailun is the parent company to Dynamic, but not to Towmax's manufacturer.

Sailun is made by Sailun Manufacturing. Towmax by Shandong Hengfeng Rubber & Plastic Co, LTD.

My only concern is the Trailer King tires are what will be on my new Sundance when I pick it up...
Not sure how I feel about changing them out before I drive it back to AZ or when I get here!

I would assume you should be a ok to drive them back and change them or you can work a deal with the company to have them changed out when you get there. call heartland to find out what tires they come with.

The wheels on the new Sundance are rated for 110 psi, so I can go with either the Sailun or GY G614...
The tire rep that has been mentioned on this website will ship the Sailun tires to the dealer but can't give me
any rebate on the Trailer King...I really don't want to pack them back to AZ, nor give them away free...
I did call TBC who is the US distributor for Trailer King located in FL....they said the tires have only been handled by
them for 3 years and that they are "NOT" the same mfg as the towmax....so now another version to work through...
I guess I will figure it all out by the time I get back there to pick up the Sundance.

Garry.... As you know I love the Sailun's on my Sundance.... I have about 10,000 miles on them now and they show no wear that I can see... The Towmax tires that were replaced by the Sailun tires had only 4,000 miles on them when three of the five tires needed to be replaced... You should be able to come back to Arizona on the Towmax paws but there will always be a "but" to that situation... Be safe! Remember what my tire looked like? Here is another look...

THanks....yep I remember!!! I will see how it goes, I want to protect my major expenditure (can't say it's an investment) ! So I will change out the Trailer King tires, just trying to work out details of there or back here in AZ....I think either Sailun or GY G614 are excellent...I do like the warranty that GY gives and will repair your RV damage...

By the way how is the neck???

Problem Solved:
Found a Discount Tire dealer in Elkhart...they will replace all 5 Trailer King tires with Goodyear G614 for $1850 with lifetime warranty and balance....they will give me $50 a tire for the Trailer King as well...that will give me complete peace of mind and the price is only $100 more than what the deal would have been in Tucson AZ.....

The Goodyear tires are 235/85r16G....so they are an inch taller than what is on the Sundance now...I will make sure that one inch isn't a problem. Current Trailer Kings are 235/80R16E

Check the diameter of the Goodyear tires... My Sailun were larger in diameter... Not a problem if you have tire chocks that will fit between the tires... I had to purchase other type chock.... I hear that Sailun now has 235/80R16 that are smaller in diameter than the 235/85R16 tire...

G614's are the same/similar diameter as common ST235/80R16E's, so you should not have an issue. Chris

Have another question::::
What is an acceptable age for DOT date stamped on the sidewall of a new tire you order?
Discount tires will make sure it is not more than 6 months old...
Simple Tire stated it will be from 6 months to 2 years old....

I don't know if tires age during storage while not mounted, but why would I accept a 2 year old tire for a brand new price???
Kind of reconfirms my decision to go with the G614 at Discount.

Our new 2017 built in March 2016 has Sailun's with 0316 date code. 3rd week of Jan 2016. I would not accept a tire over a year old. They start aging the minute they leave the mold.

The only thing I would put on a tire is a sun cover, mileage and Aerospace 303.

Had a couple in the campsite next to us and noticed they had Towmaxx tires tried to explain to him about Towmaxx problems, he didn't semm to care stating he was okay with what he has.

PRO METER ST235/85R16 14 ply load range G 10/32'' deep tread 31" diameter tire built to carry 4400 lbs @ 110 psi single ad 3850 lbs @ 110 psi dual. 150 a tire not bad. I know someone who pulls heavy loads all around the gulf south and he says he loves them.

So you turned down the 61 lb Sailun or G614 for am all steel 50 lb tire. Where did the eleven pounds go or better yet come out from?
